I'm 5'3", which is more the short side of average.

Pro - being closer to the ground so falling isn't as dangerous for a complete klutz like me. Capris work as normal pants when you gain weight. Can pull off wearing teenaged son's sweatshirts. Still get carded at 40 (now I growl for them shaddup as I'm showing my i.d.). Good at playing hide and seek since I can fit into places smaller than you'd expect.

Cons - That pesky top shelf. (I used to pick up my son so he could then reach the item for me. Now he's too big to do that, but not quite tall enough to reach it for me on his own.) Finding normal pants is a challenge, especially if you gain weight. Listening to my husband (and now son) give me a ribbing anytime I need to use the step ladder, or ask for help. Being called "cute".

5'3" here.....don't really mind it, but I would love to have nice long legs!!!

Cons:
Can't find clothes that fit. everything is too long.
Can't reach things in high places
Can't find heels in size 3 so I always wear flats
Feet never touch the ground.
Need a foot extension to drive my car.
Shouldn't sit in the front seat because of the air bags
Seat belt comes across my neck so I wear it behind the back instead.
Can't eat as many calories as a taller person.


Pros:
DH has to get anything that is up high for me.
Same for cleaning.
DH helps with laundry
Don't look my age. People think I am in my 30s or 40s and I am 60.
can buy clothes and shoes cheaper in the kids department.
can buy kids Disney Crocs not available for adults.
Never had to change a tire because some guy always stops to help.

I'm a little person at 4'8"

4'10" here. Just a quick note - always get a washing machine where the drum will spin when it's off. I just spin the back to the front to empty the machine. Now if I could just do it without leaning in and getting the front of my shirt wet...
