how are you planning to dress?

I've been obsessively stalking the weather reports and it looks GOOD to me!

Mid to high 70's for the daytime highs, and not a night where it's expected to drop below 50 something--coming from MD, that's HOT STUFF this time of year, lol!

I'm packing capris and short sleeves for me, shorts and short sleeves for my 8yo, we'll be wearing jeans when we arrive and I'll pack another pair each in case we need them at night. I'll toss in a couple long sleeve t's and a jacket/hoodie for us each (we'll be wearing one on the way down too) and I think we're good.

Does that sound right? Any regulars want to critique that? More jeans/long sleeves, or should we be good in shorts/capris, even in the evenings (maybe throw on a jacket?)

I'm packing detergent so worse comes to worse, we can wash whatever we need, although I don't really want to do :laundy: on vacation, lol!

We always go in January (except this year). I always obsessively check the weather before we go, and it always changes. Always. DH laughs at me for trying to figure out the weather ahead of time. It even changes from the forecast after we get there. Typically we have both 80 degree and 40 degree weather in the same week. So definitely pack a little of everything, which it sounds like you are. So you should be fine. The only really uncomfortable time is when it's really rainy and cold, so plan for that (either a water proof jacket or hoodie or plan on sticking a poncho over the whole thing).. In five Jan trips, I can only remember one morning that was too rainy (pouring) and cold to enjoy anything outside.

Otherwise, I have always found Jan. weather to be perfect, never too hot, and never bitterly uncomfortably cold.

Have a great time! We are usually there at about this time, so I am really missing WDW right now.

I leave for the airport in about 15 hours and have packed a little (well, maybe too much) of everything. We will be on site from 1/26-2/1. For myself I have capris, jeans, shorts, t's, tanks, skirt, dress, long sleeve shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, flip flops, sneakers, sandals. I'm prepared for pretty much anything!

This is my third year going to Disney this time of year. I've always worn capri's and short sleeves. If it's a little chilly I wear a light hoodie. The forcast seems to be much warmer than I've seen in the last two years.

Thanks all!

I ended up packing all shorts and short sleeves for the kiddo, capris and short sleeves for me, a pair of jeans for each of us (plus the ones we'll be wearing), a handful of long sleeve t's to layer if needed, a hoody each (plus we'll have on a jacket b/c of the freezing weather at 5am here!). Crocs for us both, wearing tennis shoes down and threw in some socks just in case.

I think we're ready for anything!

As long as the weight/size of the suitcase passes at the airline, we're good!

Have a great trip for anyone heading down! We're 12.5 hours from boarding the plane...woo hoo!!
