DH just bought a 32g iPod touch from apple for $192.38. That is including tax and shipping.

The thing is it is a refurbished Ipod touch so if you don't mind getting a refurbished IPod from apple you can get 32gigs for less then the black Friday 8gig IPod touches for sale.

Just out of curiosity, which generation was it? I thought the 32gb were much, much more than that?!

ETA: I see one on their site for $179 but it has a release date of Sept 2009 - I didn't think that was the current generation. If I'm reading right, it lacks the camera and ability to do Facetime and video, and also has shorter battery life than 4th gen. Might be wrong...

It is third gen so if space for videos and music is more important then a camera and few other added features then this is a great deal. It was for DH.

I totally hear you! Storage does trump a lot of other gizmos and toys.

Personally, my kids have been asking for an iPod but, since they are really into the camera aspect of it, it wouldn't be a good deal for us. We'd want them to be able to use it for Facetime with the grandparents, too, which the 3rd gen can't do.

If the camera doesn't matter, though, I agree it is a fantastic deal!
