If your heart is in your DREAM ……… a Aug/Sept 2011, NEW - links to dining/trip report

Thank you, Yuki!
The GFC is a hidden gem! We have been several times and the food and service just so good.
We had an "unforseen" breakfast there during our most recent trip and it was really good and not your usual stuff! We both loved it!

:woohoo: We are only 161 days away from the start of our summer vacation - that's only 23 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: And only 180 days from the second part! :thumbsup2
Oh, and I really WISH you could come too! Maybe I can fit you into my luggage! ;) :lmao:

OH, I wish you COULD fit me in your luggage! I pack light!

I really must try GFC sometime, it sounds fabulous.

Yay for getting all the ADR's you wanted and some great restaurant choices in there too :goodvibes

You really have to try it some day, Yuki! Their dessert "tasting" plate it yummyyyyyyyyyyy!! ... and the chocolate fondue outstanding - best ever! :thumbsup2

Thank you, Stefy!
Lots of old favourites and a few new ones ...... now let the changing around begin! :rotfl2: :goodvibes

Congrats on getting everything that you wanted! I hope that I am as fortunate 2 weeks from now. :woohoo:

Thank you!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get everything you want too! :thumbsup2

I love Tea at GF and love GFC.

I am a HUGE fan of the GFC! :thumbsup2 I don't want to give to much away, but we never made it to the tea in February! :scared1: So I really want to push it in the summer! :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 They look awesome! It is before breakfast for me... and yummmm your ADRS made me hungry. :goodvibes

Thank you!
I had to  because it is PAST dinner time for me! ..... well, it means that I am one day closer to our summer vacation! ;)

YAY for getting everything you wanted!

I have been dreading the time when I have to make my ressies for 10 nights worth of WDW....it is just such a daunting task when you are married to the "Changer" that I am :lmao:

I told him last night that we have to sit down and go over our plans so he can help me pick meals....do you know what he said?

"Pick whatever you want, its fine with me"

Who the heck is he kidding???

So I think I will book TS for every single meal and see if that works out

Hi Karin,
I think I fell behind on your PTR, I have just recently learned to subscribe to threads. So it will be easier to keep up.

Hi Karin,

Wow what a DREAM trip! Can't wait to read along! Thanks for sharing.

I notice your from Austria, I'm bummed because my DH and I were in Austria this past fall! I had a lovely opportunity to have a DIS meet with two lovely ladies here on the DIS from Germany. Had I read your other TR I would have loved to have met you to!

Are you anywhere near Salzburg? We were in Salzburg for a few days and just loved it there. The whole area was just so beautiful! My DH and I are already planning a trip back.

Thanks again for sharing your plans with us! :goodvibes

Plans sound great, Karin. I'm debating adding an "out of pocket" dinner our last night. And it is down to a choice of Captain's Grill or GF Cafe. :confused3

I, too am planning an oop meal for the last night, but haven't decided on where I want to go. :confused3

Hi there friend! :wave2:

It's EASY to make ressies for 10 nights - you just pick, get ADRs and then start changing them around! :rotfl2: Well, at least that is what we do! ;) :lmao:
In our family I am not only the decision maker, but I am the changer as well! Works out great and Tom is very easy to work with when it comes to changing! :rotfl:

"Pick whatever you want, its fine with me" is a phrase I hear quite often!
But I am glad our second part is without the DDP! It will give us room to try some restaurants not on the DDP and to move offsite as well. We went to Miller's Ale House in February (Dave's recommandation) and it was amazing! So much fun! (once we had found it! :rotfl2:)

:woohoo: But you are all caught up now and I need to do some more planning here soon, so your input will be very welcome! :thumbsup2

Welcome! :flower3:
It's so nice to have another friend joining in! :thumbsup2

Yip, we live in Austria, in the neighbouring county's capital city - Linz! That's about 90 minutes from Salzburg!
If you ever come back to Austria, just let me know - I would love to meet up with you and DH and there are LOTS of wonderful places here in Upper Austria too! I am sure you would love it! ;)

Thanks for your comments on our summer trip. We love to travel for a month and this year will be extra special with the triple cruise and being able to go back to OKW twice! :cloud9:

Thank you, Kathy!
I didn't put much thought into our summer planning yet, but I should start on that pretty soon! :thumbsup2

As for your oop dinner - even if I repeat myself I am voting for GF Cafe! We always LOVE the food there!
Either try the dessert sampler (you get all 4 desserts for the price of 2 :rotfl2:) or the Chocolate Fondue - to die for! :cloud9:
In February we had breakfast there and it was outstanding - so yummy! Need to finish my summer dining review, so I can start the February one! :lmao:

I, too am planning an oop meal for the last night, but haven't decided on where I want to go. :confused3

Now I NEED to repeat myself!
GFC, GFC or GFC!!!! :rotfl2:
Hidden gem - great food, great setting, great service and best of all YUMMYYYYYY desserts! ;) :thumbsup2

Checking in Karin!!

Good morning, Rosie! So nice of you to stop by!

A little REAL LIFE update!

Now that we have been back from our half term vacation for 2 weeks already, life slowly returns back to normal.

It was a bit hard to go back the day after we returned from vacation, and Tom fell ill on Monday, so was home for a week.
I had a few extra things to do for school, I started my trip report and I worked on our photopass CD.
I usually pre-purchase a CD (love to save 50$ :thumbsup2) and we have as many photos taken as we can.
This year it was a bit different - yes, I did pre-purchase the CD, but made sure the code does not expire! :goodvibes
We had about 100 photos taken and went on the Wild Africa Trek, which added another 130 photos, and at the end we got a gift certificate including a code for a photopass CD. I asked if they would let us combine the photos and they said it was perfectly okay and to just go ahead.
So over the last 2 weeks I worked on the photos, putting every available border around it, but the system is constantly VERY slow and only today did I finish my work and let me tell you, I topped them all up to a whopping 997 photos! :rotfl2:

So when I was done and had checked them again I went and tried if the code would work!
IT WORKED ........ :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: THEY EVEN PAY FOR SHIPPING TO AUSTRIA!!!!!!!! Isn't that awesome? :cool1: I love you Disney!
As soon as we receive the CD I'll post some of the photos, we have a few fun images in there! :lmao:

The other Disney themed project I started this weekend was my first Fish Extender gift for this summer. :cloud9:
I can't reveal what it is going to be right now, as I do not know if any of my fellow cruisers stop in here but I can tell you that it is a knitted project and I made a prototype this weekend and it turned out to be real cute!
We need to come up with 7 different presents :scared1: for our 11 day cruise, to not repeat the gifts for the back to back cruisers.
Tom and I like to give little home-made gifts daily, that's why we will need to do a LOT of presents! :rotfl2:

And NOW it it time for planning the next trip! :woohoo:

Sorry to hear that Tom was sick after your trip.
Sounds like you had your hands filled with all of the pictures, can't wait to see some when they are posted.
As far as the fish extender gifts I'll be curious to see other poster's ideas, I have never cruised so I am at a loss.
Have a great week!

Karin, I'm so sorry Tom was ill after the trip. :sad2:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for the CD news and the free shipping.

Wow You have been busy. I hope Tom is feeling better now. So will the other prepurchased CD be used for your summer trip then?

Sorry that Tom fell ill right after the trip. At least it wasn't on the trip... that is really sad.

Yay on the pp!! almost one-thousand pics?!!!?? WOW!! I think you got your monies worth from the trek in AK. :worship: I paid for my in September and had a measly 50 or so photos on it.

Homemade gifts are the best! How thoughtful you are. I bet everyone really appreciates them. :goodvibes
