If you won the lottery and can stay at any deluxe hotel on property, which hotel would it be?

I think i would stay @ The Contemporary only to say I've stayed @ one the first Disney hotels. Plus I would love to be able to see the castle out my window!!!!

The Grand Floridian. I didn't like the layout of the Contemporary when we went there for dinner and the Pirates cruise. The GF just seemed really well themed and lovely.

Grand Floridian....without a doubt! We just got back from 5 nights there..which my husband's company won as a prize! We didn't have to pay for it and it was AMAZING! My kids are still talking about it, in fact my little one was heard over the monitor tonight (as she was falling asleep) saying, "Mommy...I LOVE YOU. I want to go back to Disney and get chocolate on my bed every night...I loved that, and I love you!" It was clean, friendly and so easy to get around (even with the monorail down from 11:30-6 every day of our stay). ..and just beautiful! We did a hotel switch to Wildnerness Lodge after our 5 days at the GF and that hotel was beautiful too....BUT it wasn't the Grand Floridian! We were so spoiled staying there..every time we got on the boat to the Wilderness Lodge my kids would say, "We want to go back THERE!"

If not that one....I'd like to stay at the Poly or the Beach Club again!

If it was a mega lottery win- (many millions of dollars)I would stay a week in every room category, in every resort. But I guess I would begin with MK view Contempory.

We've actually had this conversation in my house. We wouldn't stay at any of the resorts....instead we be buying one of the houses in that exclusive neighborhood....can't recall the name right now, I'm on my cell phone so it's hard enough typing, lol....but we'd buy a house there and live in it part of the year and go into the parks every day and eat our way around every restaurant in the World.

Then we'd probably jet over to Paris and buy a villa near that Disney property....before jetting over to Toyko and Hong Kong and buying property there as well. And maybe a little condo in Los Angeles so that we could live near any Disney property. Hmmm....maybe even Hawaii, although I really didn't enjoy the one vacation I had there....but who knows, maybe money out the whazoo would have made it more enjoyable, lol.

Hmmmm...I think the lottery this week is 247mil......yeah, that might be enough.

None. I'd buy a nice size 5th wheel and park it at Fort Wilderness and buy a golf cart to keep on site. Of course when I'd want a change I'd leave the camper for a few nights and stay at whatever resort tickles my fancy at the time. They're all amazing and all have their perks. AKL is definitely one of my fave resorts, but if I had to pick a hotel I'd have to say French Quarter is my fave, 2nd to the campground of course.

Is it bad that if I won the lottery, I would probably not even think about WDW for a while? I would be thinking one thing: world travel!!! I would go to the other Disney parks though and stay at whatever the premier hotel is for that resort. It would probably be a few years before I thought about domestic travel.




Who am I kidding? I would probably make it back to WDW to run all the RunDisney events at which I would probably stay at the Polynesian or Beach Club, depending on the race. But that's not much different since I've stayed at both of those resorts many times. I'm think though that I'd rent out a park for the night and enjoy it to myself (and friends and family of course), or rent it out to runners and their families. I'd probably throw in a Treehouse Villa stay simply because I haven't done it as I've only traveled with 4 people or fewer.

If I won a mega lottery, I'd be traveling around the world a bit before going back to Disney. When I did get back to Disney, or if it was a modest lottery win, I would do a split stay and everyone in the family would pick their favorite and we would narrow it down that way. I would vote for the Grand Floridian. Of course it would be theme park view and club level.

I would say the Polynesian. We've never stayed there before. Unfortunately the only time we stayed at the GF it was a bit of a disaster due to a lot of unforseen incidents. I would like to try it again but dh can't be swayed.

I'd plan a trip to stay long enough to stay at each of the deluxe resorts (in their best CL suite) for 5 days each...starting with AKL and ending with GF...everything else in between. You said if we won the lottery, right?

After that, I would lay out the cash for a DVC, probably at BLT or the new GF being built. (icing on the cake...)

It would be a split stay in cl suites at the Poly and Beach Club. Then like the PP said, I would lay out cash to be a DVC member!!

First off, we don't play any lottery......

But we have been blessed to do over 45 trips to WDW and stay at all the deluxe resorts except Boardwalk...and some of them were at club level.....

Thru the years, it's been about a tie with the CR and WL for the most repeats......

CR was our beginning....we were in awe of that resort back in the late 70's.....many many stays there until they started to make changes to it, which made it lose its appeal to us....for reasons of one kind or another we've tried all the resort with terpid results and though some we returned to and some have said never again....we struck pay dirt at the WL.....so far it's held its appeal the way the CR used to...

Our dream stay, though we have done them a few times already, is club level at WL for 2 weeks.....though our stays average 9-12 nights, a stay of 2+ weeks would be a dream......I myself could live there with no problems or reservations......

I would probably agree with shelling out the cash for a DVC package. However, I would probably do club level at Beach Club. I just love that resort. It would be a hard choice between BC, CR and Poly.

I think I would not splurge on club level or suites but spread it out over several trips a year every year for as long as I could afford to! I'd still pick the deludes though- probably alternating between all of them if we would know we could come back.
