If you were on the deluxe Disney dining plan for twelve-nights, where would you eat?

I'm planning on booking a twelve-night trip next week, and have already started playing around with plans for where I'd like to eat. I have a few must-dos, but I would really like to try some new restaurants.

Two I really want to try, though they aren't on the dining plan are Yak and Yeti and Fulton's Crab House. Other then those two I'd really like to stick to places that are on the plan.

Since I'm booking the deluxe plan I'll have a total of thirty-six credits, (and twenty-four snacks) to use up, and I'll want to use as many as possible on table service meals. So what does everyone suggest.

If I were going on the Deluxe plan for 12 nights (woo hooo.. what a joy that would be!) I would want to go to:

Concourse Steakhouse
1900 Park Fare
Cinderella's Royal Table
Crystal Palace
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Rose and Crown
Tony's Town Square
Liberty Tree Tavern
Chef Mickey's
the new Italian place in Epcot
Raglan Road
Bongo's Cuban

Wow, now I'm at a loss. I'd probably repeat a few of those.. lol

Also, I don't care where in the "world" it is. Since I'll have such a long trip, I'll have a few non-park days to just eat. ;)

:surfweb: Dont miss Le Cellier, its our favorite:banana:

Narcossees
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Artist Point
Brown Derby
CRT
Jiko
Boma
'Ohana
Le Cellier
Coral Reef

We're trying to decide between booking a WDW resort & the DDDP, or staying at the Dolphin & going to restaurants not on the dining plan at all. We're thinking restaurants like Bistro de Paris, bluezoo, etc. won't be as negatively impacted by the DDP.

If we go with the DDDP, we'll eat a late breakfast or early lunch @ 1 TS restaurants & dine at Signature restaurants for dinner. Since you would eventually run out of Signature restaurants to try with your longer stay, I'd repeat my favs. You could also book CRT, HDDR, & the Luau, if you're interested. For us, 3 big meals a day are too much, but I could really get into trying all the Signature restaurants in one trip. :teeth:

Three meals would be too much for me if I did three meals every day. I'm sure I could do three meals one or two days of my trip. I'm going to do several signature restaurants though, I know I have to make a return trip to California Grill, and I want to have breakfast at CRT again, since the last time I had breakfast there was in the 90's.

Three tips out of pocket would be way too much for us (a family of 7)...but if I was going to eat 3 sit down meals a day I would probably have to repeat some. Lets see...I would definitely do these:

Chef Mickey's
Sci Fi
LeCellier (even though we don't like it....everyone else seems to LOL)
Harvest Grill
Liberty Tree Tavern
Whispering Canyon

and then I'd add more from looking at menus :)http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

Room service is also an option and I'd be all over that more than once!

I would probably do Boma for breakfast and dinner on different days.

We just had a fabulous experience at Narcoossee's, which included Wishes and Electric Water parade.

You can also do a pizza meal (salad, dessert, drinks) delivery for 2TS, expensive, but might just be the simplicity you need hanging out by the pool once!

I think your snack credits will be harder to use as the meals will be very filling and the mug will limit your need for drinks with those credits. Have fun trying though.

I didn't mean to sound like I thought anyone who ate 3 meals a day was a pig. I hope my post didn't come across that way. :o As a matter of fact, I'm burned out on reading so many complaints about the DDP offering too much food. Noone is forced to eat every course. We like to sample different foods, so we would always order all 3 courses. That doesn't mean we'd eat every bite of it. Anyway, what I was trying to convey is that we'd rather have 1 good meal, & 1 exceptional meal each day than 3 good meals. That's a matter of personal preference though. If you prefer to try more restaurants & eat at 3 different places each day, go for it. With 36 credits, you could try most of them. That would be one heckuva review. I can't wait to read it. :teeth:

We are going to be on the deluxe plan for 11 nights in January. We have ADRs/plans to eat at:

The Plaza (l)
Chef Mickey (d)
Coral Reef (l)
Rose & Crown (d)
Tusker House (l) - obviously don't have the ADR yet, but I'll make it as soon as they start taking them
Yachtsman Steakhouse (d)
Boatwrights (b)
Artist Point (d)
Cinderella's Royal Table (l)
California Grill (d)
Sci-fi (l)
Flying Fish(d)
Ohana (b)
Raglan Road (d)
Ohana (d)
Teppan Edo (l)
Le Cellier (d)
ESPN Club (l) - no ADR, we'll walk up around 2:30-ish
Akershus (d)
Crystal Palace (l)
Narcoosees (d)
Planet Hollywood (l)

That's 28 meals out of 33 accounted for, and the rest will probably be used for CS on the day that our park plans are flexible and for shared CS meals at breakfast time or between meals on days when we have 8 hours between lunch & dinner. I don't really like CS, so there are only a few we make a point to hit - Main Street Bakery, Sunshine Seasons, Boulangerie Patisserie, maybe Flame Tree if we spend a second day at AK.

Don't worry, you didn't come across that way at all. :goodvibes

I love the idea of being able to eat at tons of signature restaurants, so I will be eating at a signature at least every other night or so. Right now every signature is at least on my "maybe" list, and some are on my must-do.

I'm not really big on buffets, but I do like Boma and character meals.

We're only going for 8 nights/9 days, but this is our list for May:

Crystal Palace breakfast
'Ohana dinner
Boma dinner
Donald's Breakfast
Tusker House buffet (maybe)
Hoop De Doo
LeCellier
Teppan Edo
Hollywood and Vine breakfast
Sci-Fi
'Ohana breakfast
Liberty Tree Tavern
Cape May breakfast
Coral Reef dinner

A dream trip :) What fun!

Hmmm.

I'd plan :
Breakfasts: Boma, Park Fare, Kona Cafe, Ohana, Crystal Palace and Tusker House, CRT

Lunch: Akershus Princess Story book

Dinners: Jiko, Narcoossees, Luau or HDDR, Citricos, Flying Fish, California Grill, Artist Point, Biergarten (love it), Chef Mickey, LTT, WCC, 50s PT cafe

This allows for 8 CS meals to be determined later. I wouldn't do both the luau and HDDR but would pick one. I think that there are some great CS locations that I wouldn't want to miss. I like Pecos Bills. I think the food is good at the water parks. The world showcase has some terrific CS options. I just wouldn't want to book ALL TS and then not have the flexibility of being able to grab a hot dog if that's what you feel like eating.

I'd play with the days based on whether you'd have parkhoppers and which parks you'd want to visit. But I don't think it's crazy to think you could eat with Lilo and stitch for breakfast at ohana and then dine at California grill later that evening! :) Or have an early lunch at Akershus (my favorite meal ever!!!) and then dinner at Biergarten before Illuminations.
