If you were in control of Disneyland...

Complete revamp Tomorrowland to live up to its name! Build rides similar to Mission Space at WDW, something with anti-gravity. Show technology like in Wall-e. Add Mickey's Philharmagic!

Move Nemo's subs to California Adventure and have personal submarines, like the kind you see in Cancun. Only your head is covered (oxygen!) and you can ride around in your bathing suit or turn it into a large water show!

Add a Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin dark rides.

Expand Critter Country, it's really sad right now.

-I would re-wind time and built West-Cot instead of DCA, and make sure there were some great elements from DisneySea in there.

-Make monorail more about transportation than a ride by extending the track and adding another monorail (I think there will only be 3 Mark VII's when all is done.) Oh and I would get Monorail Blue out and working before my trip in a few weeks! :rotfl:

-Tomorrowland -- I would take out Honey I shrunk the Kids. It's time is due. Get the Star Tours II moving along. Put something back on the People Mover tracks. Breathe life back into poor ol' TL. And while I am tired of movie related rides, I kind of like an attractions that utilizes themes seen in WALL E, to provide HOPE that we can turn this planet around in the future. It would be educational and HOPEFUL. :hippie: I would also bring back (with a flick of my wand) the beautiful Mary Blair murals that were painted over during the awful TL make-over in 98. Just what were they thinking? :sad2:

-Frontierland needs some new LIFE! I would remove the ranch area and make some sort of big big E ticket back there. I also like the idea of a nicely themed restaurant in Ft. Wilderness. I would also not allow anymore pirates to take over Frontierland's space. pirate:

-I would remove the Muppets 3d movie and turn the theater into a fully animatronic Muppets theater show.

-Autopia would be converted to environmentally friendly vehicles....as part of TOMORROWland. Gas is not the future as we know. I also would be open to just getting rid of Autopia and putting some amazing E ticket over there.

-Bring back the old "chicken of the sea" Pirate ship restaurant/Skull rock to FL. Perhaps in the "smoking area" by the old motor boats. Or I would move the proposed Little Mermaid ride that will go into DCA and move it to this area. It makes more sense theme wise.

-Bring back Abe to Main St. I would also love if there was room to build some kind of ride or new thing to Main St.

-I am glad to hear there are strong rumors that the Sleeping Beauty walk through is opening again.

-I would also bring back the Sky Way! Just make them fully enclosed so no one could "fall" out!

I have always wanted a ride to match that scene from In Search of the Castaways where they are riding the chunk of mountain through the ice cave. Would make a great inside coaster ride! :)

-I would remove the Muppets 3d movie and turn the theater into a fully animatronic Muppets theater show.

This would be very cool!!! Think Country Bear Jamboree meets the Muppets! I think that kids would enjoy an animatronics show much more than a 3-D show.

It is not that the 3D show isn't great ( I love it! ), but I know that my kids don't like the idea of having to hold those glasses:3dglasses :3dglasses :3dglasses on their faces to watch the show (because they are too big to fit)

I'd bring back that ride in TL about Inner Space. Forget what it was called but as a child it was my favorite ride. Loved the part where the eye looks at you! :scared1: Only I'd do up to today's standards and make it very cool and up to date! :thumbsup2

-I'd like to have a ride themed on Aladdin and Abu riding the flying carpet out
of the cave of wonders.

-An extension to Indiana Jones, of the mining car ride in the third film.

-I'd move into one of the buildings on the main street on the second floor :)
but not Walt's Appt. I would never try to move into somewhere so sacred:worship:

Agree with lots of what people have said: Bring back some of the old attractions including

Skyway
People Mover
Castle Walk Through
Swiss Family Treehouse.

The re-make of the Swiss Family treehouse into Tarzan's treehouse is a disaster. What was magical and comforting and made me want to live in the world was turned into something foreign. I can see how it sounded good on paper to the Imagineers, but it lost it's heart and sould.

I agree that monorail extension -- including a stop in DCA would be great.

It is time to retire some rides and update others. Star Tours needs updated. Honey I shrunk the audience has run it's course.

And -- I'd get rid of that great big arcade area (what's its name?). I hate that place. Disney is designed to do stuff as a family. Arcade games are just the opposite of that. It's a huge space that could be put to far better use.

I had hoped when they started with the "new" Tomorrowland that they were going that way with the edible plants and things. And the Mary Blair murals that was a travesty, and I am sure that they regret it to this day.

And goodness knows I think Autopia has run it's course but it is a great kids ride. So with this thought gas powered vehicles are not Tomorrowland. Lets try something to do with alternative fuels and transportation. You can educate and you don't have to take away from the fun.

I would get a Who Framed Roger Rabbit ride put in, which would be a Star Tours type ride. You'd be in Benny the Cab, and you'd zoom around Toon Town, and maybe some of the 'real' world. It'd be like in the BTTF ride Universal used to have, where you'd be crashing through stuff, and all that.
Maybe it'd be called Who Nabbed Roger Rabbit, and it's plot could be: Judge Doom has kidnapped Roger Rabbit, and you and Benny have to track him and his gang down and rescue him. :confused3 Just an idea. I'm a WFRR fan, so I'd pull to get a ride put in. (Besides the one they currently have. I'd probably replace that with something else.)

Also, I think a Lilo and Stitch ride, also a Star Tours type ride, would be cool. It could be based on the space ship part from the end of the first film.

I'd pull for an Incredibles ride, which would be like the Indiana Jones ride. (And by that I mean, you go along a track, encountering explosions; instead of the rock, it'd be the Omnidroid; stuff like that.) You sit in a trailer (resembling the one from the end of the movie) and you're chasing down the Omnidroid. Or something. :confused3 There'd be lots of explosions, sound effects, all that. You'd even have Syndrome 'shooting' that blue laser thing of his at you at times. (Which would be lights, or something.) I think it'd be cool. :)

I think there would be a lot of possibilities for a Meet the Robinsons 3D show. It'd be like "Honey I Shrunk The Audience," [it would also replace it--I liked HISTA, but eh] incorporating effects. What with the Dinosaur, the bubbles people use to get around, the flying time machines, the frogs, all that...it'd be one heck of a show!

Just some thoughts of mine. :wizard:

For what happened to Tomorrowland over the time from the 80s and 90s is in many ways the results of Michael Eisner and his short-sighted corporate management of DLR.

Can we tar and feather him?

I'm with Roy Disney, Eisner is a tool!

If I were in charge.

Next year. would be "Mickey's Green Dream" in keeping with Walt's dream of a better tomorrow. WD Inc. would try to adapt the parks to be more eco friendly, more recycling bins, around the parks, re theme some of the fireworks show maybe even have some of the rides or consession stands run off of solar or other power, using florencent or LED bulbs where possible.

just basically show the world that Being Green can be fun.

Oooh, blend that idea with the retheming of the Carousel of Progress. "There's a great green beautiful tomorrow!" :dance3:

Hey, give the mouse some credit for being green, the Disneyland Railroad trains run on bio-diesel fuel!

I agree, DL can be a good avenue for good and innovative ideas for being more green and it will leave a good impression on the kids too.

Tomorrowland could be the venue for this by utilizing new technology to be more efficient, maybe a new COP with 21st century concepts for energy. I have not checked it out yet but The House of Tomorrow could be something of this sort.

In DTD:

- A Korean, Greek, Russian, Irish, & Indian Restaurants (similar to World Showcase but different countries....you can add to this).

In DL:

- 50's Prime Time Diner.
- A good Pizza/Pasta Joint.
- Tamale/Breakfast Taco Carts (aka "taco trucks")

In DCA:

- Brown Derby.
- A Good Fish Joint.
- Hollywood Sci/Fi.
- Tamale/Breakfast Taco Carts. (aka "taco trucks")

In the PP or DLH:

- Ohanna

In Tomorrowland:

- Mission Space.
- A "future is Green" ride that others above have mentioned.
- Refurb Star Tours.

In Critter Country:

- Critters.
- Lion King Show.
- A Jungle Book attraction (cause i like the movie)

Somewhere in DL:

- R&R Rollercoaster (with GunsNRoses NOT the lame peppers....if a SoCal band must be used)
- The Mickey 4-D Fantasia attraction (can't remember the name).
- A Dalmation attraction. (cause i like the movie).
- 4 times as many Characters strolling around.

In DCA:

- A ride similar to Studio's Great Movie Ride attraction (but updated).
- A Mulan attraction. (cause i like the movie)
- 3 times as many Characters strolling around.
- A LOT more Greenery (with big *ss trees for more shade.)

hound <----(only wants COP brought back if they provide reclining seats for maximum snoozing opportunity ;).)

 yeah I wish I could send my Idea to Disney but they have a strict policy against suggestions. basically if it wasn't their idea, it goes to the waste bin.

Well I like you list "Hound 109". Here is what I would like to see, now keep in mind Disney has secretly bought up most of the property around DL over the years.

1. First I would like to see a third park! (maybe Animal Kingdom West)

2. Water Park like Typhoon Lagoon or Blizard Beach. (wave pool big enough to hold pro surf contests)

3. All parks connected by monorail.

4. Fast pass for Peter Pan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DCA
So I Would Start With the Expansion of DCA. I wouldnt opt to remove ANY of the rides. No retheming of the Paradise Peir Rides. They are fine the way they are. I would, though, retheme the basic bordwalk into a more Victorian theme, as they are doing. i would take the scream sheilds off of the Maliboomer, as well as re shaping the cars to bullet shapes (just to fix the theme a tad). Definately a water show in the bay, but one that fits the theme, weve got enough Mickey Water Shows in Disneyland. NO CARS LAND! THAT NAME SOUNDS DUMB, AND DOESNT FIT THE THEME!!!!! I would add a land that minimizes a smaller version of Epcot, Featuring Mission Space and The Huge Dome, But a test track starting inside of the dome to minimize the space that Test Track requires. Instead of the whole Worlds Showcase, id add an exihbit showcasing all of the different pavillions, with samples of cuisine and customs. Id keep the current enterance, because thats not why people arent coming, its the lack of rides. Id add a Rock'n Roller Coaster Near the Queue of The Alladin Show, which id simply relocte to the inside of the building. Id get rid of the expansion on the Grand Californian and use that space to add a minature version of "cars land" called Radiator springs, featuring two small rides, Luigis tire Float and Lighting Mcqueens Go Cars (a faster version of autopia). Id add the little Mermaid ride in the soon to be defuct Golden Dreams Show. With a little advertizement, this park could flourish with a little time.

DLAND
In Disneyland id start with Tommarowland. What nobody wants to here... Id fix the old Rocket Rods Track Adding Banked Turns and a Lim-Launched Start, Bringing back a newer updated version of the Rocket Rods. The queue Would Feature an Elevator to the loading area and extend underground to a new "Futuristic City" (as theming for the queue). Id retheme the buzz show with some form of a futuristic band. To relive the congestion in Fantasyland, id add two dark rides themed as The Lion King and Pochahauntus on the Back Enterance to Fronteriland. Id make the winnie the pooh ride longer, adding some more adventures to bring in the long lost crowds. Id fix up Innovations and bring a show there, gutting the whole exhibit and making it seatingfor the center show. Which would show possibly what musicals would be like in the future. Id gut out the long overdue Tommarowland Arcade and add a new version of the increadable shrinking machine that would work somewhat like the haunted mansion. It would take you up the two layers of the building showing life as it would be shrunken in the future. Id Fix the Worst queue as we all know it, The outside of Space Mountain, In the center id add some form entertainment, either a band playing, or a large sculpture of a half-earth jetting our of the floor that would really be a tv screen. As You would pass through various parts of the line it would display the place as it would be in the future, changing to show the different countries. I would add a new movie to star tours, to attract riders to the now rather unpopular attraction. Id add some ride to Pirates Lair, probably some mini rides, such as a swinging pirate boat and a bumper boats. Id Add some type of dark ride to Critter Country to attract guests to Winnie The Pooh and the New Ride. Id also get rid of Big Thunder Ranch for room of the earlier mentioned dark rides for that area.
