If you were going to wear Flip Flops...

For me, I must have a cloth strap in-between my toes, otherwise it bothers me. A shop nearby me called The Shoe Dept. sells Tommy Hilfiger flip flops (plain black with a cloth strap) for $20 or less. Now this seems like a lot for flip flops, but they're pretty comfortable and well made. They last me a while. I know Teva makes some nice stuff that's comfortable and durable, as well (my mom loves those).

Reefs all the way for me, I don't know how I ever functioned before my aunt turned me onto them a few years ago. I usually wear a pair of heavier ones when I'm hitting the park all day.

After slipping and sliding in the rain through the MK wearing my Croc flip-flops, I actually bought a pair of Reefs in the park to get me through the rest of the day. I was expecting an expensive pair of reefs, but minus pairs I bought at the outlet, they were the cheapest pair I ever bought.

I need arch support so am willing to pay a little more to keep my feet comfortable all day. My favorite flip flops for WDW in order of preference are: OluKai Ohanas, Skecher Tone Ups, Orthoheels Wave or Tide, Montrail Molokinis, and Fit Flops.

I do have several pairs of Reefs and and a couple of pairs of Crocs, but they are not as comfortable as the others I mentioned. The Crocs are way too slippery when wet. I've slipped on wet pavement in two different pairs of new Crocs.

Before I got plantar fasciitis in my left foot, my favorite flip flops for WDW were Teva Mush, Nike Celso, Reefs, or Sanuck Yoga Mats. This past year they've changed the Teva Mush though and they are no where near as comfortable as they used to be.
Thanks for the ideas of brands. I severely broke my ankle this past October and want to wear some comfortable foot wear when we go in January with good support. I will be checking out what you recommended.

Just a note on the flip flop issue make sure you put sun screen on the tops of your feet and toes DD16 got sunburned feet one time at MK Ouchie!

I am currently 5 days into breaking in my first pair of Rainbows, and although they are starting to get comfy, I have been worried about their lack of shock absorption...so I bought a pair of the seemingly much loved for WDW FitFlops on eBay today! Hoping that alternating between the two will get me through the upcoming trip (and years of warm weather beyond, for as much as I spent on 2 pairs of flip flops :scared1:)

Wow! Thanks for all the ideas, I'm going to be looking into these for sure!

I'm looking at Reefs online today. There seems to be a lot to choose from. Do they just have different straps color differences, or is there a particular one to choose that is better than the others? Thanks!

I wear Merrell flip flops. They are the only flip flops I have ever worn that my feet don't feel completely done in after a day in the parks. In fact, they are the only shoes I wear during summer!

My favorite flip flops (which I have worn to the parks for a whole week) are Sanuks. The bottom is made from yoga mats and they are so comfy.

I've had very good luck with Nike flip flops. They're so comfortable, especially the piece that fits between your toes.

But my new favorites are not actually flip flops, they're athletic "slides." Mine are Under Armour brand, and they're some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I like the fact that you don't have that piece that goes between your toes, which makes some flip flops uncomfortable.

I have some Nike ones I bought at Kohl's that are super comfortable. I will be wearing them when we go next month.

I totally agree that Nike flip flops are THE BEST! I wore them at disney on a 10 day trip and im not kidding, not one blister! My feet at the bottom wasnt sore either! it was like walking on clouds. So very very comfy. The wedge between the toe is awesome too. Im gonna buy another pair for my upcoming trip. I'd highly recommend it.

I found the New Balance Rock n Tone flip flops are very comfortable. I've worn them several times to the amusements parks at home over the summer and have had no problems with them. I'm ordering a couple extra pair to take on our trip in December.

Crocsband flip are very good I have them in 4 colors and really like them. I bought fit flops for the 1st time a few weeks ago and like them too, so I think I will take them to switch it up. I bought a pair of Emu flip flops which were highly recommended to me and I just don't like them. They are comfortable, but not "Disney comfortable" if you know what I mean. Also DD16 loves her teva mush but I found them way too soft for walking around all day.

You have to find what works for you which may take some trial and error, just do that part before your trip.
