If you were at WDW in Dec 2002, please read this thread

Have you posted on the the other board? There are a lot of names of people from there on those buttons.

Good luck. The buttons are nice! Oh and I'll tell Bet!

I was there in Dec 2002. I see some of my buddies' pins but none for me. :(

Some of the names are no longer on this boards - Debate stuff, ya know.

Hey!! I see me!! :woohoo: Or, should I say I see who I "used" to be!! :lmao: Just sent you a PM!!

always quiet
AKA Colleen A.

I have mine, TC. Brings back some great memories there, and some otherwise, LOL. Lots of good people no longer around too.

Thanks for doing that back then, John, and this also now.

I just want to thank Towncrier for his PM and his generous offer to send me my pin. I just saw this thread and am in awe of all the hard work he put into making these pins. I can't wait to receive mine. Thanks again, TC!! :sunny:

I still have my pin too. It was a great time. I do see a few I know.
Where is Pajamommy, Jen you out there?

I sent out 45 PMs to those from whom I had not heard anything. About a third of those people have responded, but there are still close to 30 people who have not read their PMs. I kinda figured that would happen. That's OK. I have lots of envelopes to get ready tonight for my trip to the post office tomorrow morning.

I just remembered a funny (???) story about one of the buttons that I gave away in 2002. There was a big meet at the Hoop-De-Doo (setup by PatInMN) where I managed to unload quite a few of the buttons. One person didn't get their button hooked securely and it got knocked off while they were standing on the porch waiting for the doors to open. The button hit the porch and rolled for some distance before falling through a gap between the floorboards and dropping to the ground underneath, never to be seen again. That was the quickest that I ever saw anyone lose a DIS button. I have to wonder if that button is still there beneath the floorboards just waiting for some Disney renovation project to unearth it. And I can only imagine what other treasures ly burried underneath that porch.

Ok, maybe not so funny. But still a fond memory of December 2002.

Just bumping you back to page one. Think I'll have to get mine out of my pin bag and put it on my lanyard hanging by my desk.

Just got back from the post office. First batch sent. You should have seen the line behind me by the time the postal employee finished weighing each envelope and affixing the correct postage. Little does he know that there are still around 30 people who have not yet contacted me, so there may be another line next Saturday morning.

Towncrier, you are so kind and generous to be sending me the pin. I will be anxiously awaiting it. Thanks again! :sunny:

Doing another bump for you, John. You did such an amazing job on those buttons!! Sadly, mine fell off my bag my last night at WDW. Hey, maybe you could send me one of those unclaimed buttons and I'll pretend it says DG! :D

As much as I loved those buttons, they didn't bring me as many giggles as the 'DG's Favorite DISer' buttons!! :rotfl:They seemed as numerous as the green name ones!! LOL

Bumping this - just wondering how many of those buttons ended up never claimed!

Kimya

I saw my pin...I got my pin....and Thanks again TC
