If you were a billionaire...

I would build a 5th park filled with thrill rides and roller coasters. You just said billionaire so I'm taking that to mean I have several billion, not just one. ;) But I think about 5 would do it. It would include Star Wars Land and the center piece would be a Spaceship Earth sized Death Star with a ride inside it.

I'm right there with you. Let's merge our millions to recreate the entire Star Wars Universe. I would also have Disney buy the rights to Star Trek from Paramount. Star Trek attractions in Tomorrowland, or even a separate 'land' would be built. Maybe we could build an entire park split into SW land & ST land.

Could I pay them to change the theming for Avatarland to another movie? Because trust me, as excited as I am for a new area in AK, Avatar really doesn't tickle my fancy.

I completely agree. Avatarland makes me cringe. They could do so many other things like add a tropical land or just find new ideas for beastly kingdome

I would spend it all on Epcot to make it the park it deserves to be.

Mt Fuji would finally be built in Japan.

Switzerland with the Matterhorn would be built between Germany and Italy as originally planned.

Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy would be built in France.

The Wonders of Life building would be torn down to be replaced by a new version of Horizons.

The Universe of Energy would be completely gutted. Inside this massive building would be built the greatest dark ride of all time.

A 3rd Soarin' theater would be built to help increase throughput and the film would be replaced with newly shot footage from around the world and would work something like Star Tours does now: a 3D branching movie. The attraction would also be cutoff from the Land pavillion to reduce the overcrowding it has caused there. A new entrance just for Soarin would be built next to Imagination.

Journey into Imagination would be returned to the original version of the ride.

Update EPCOT in general. Revamp all of FW and add more countries to all the "empty" spots around WS.

I would make WS more "cultural" as you walked from country to country. Open music, people in the streets, more themed decor... etc.

FW... God where do I start? It needs help. For starters, Captain EO has to go, and I'd have to make sure it never returns again, so I'd burn it. Imagination needs a big overhaul and I'd put more of the hands on stuff back on the 2nd floor like there used to be. I miss that.

The Land... Not too much I'd probably do there.

Living Seas... Everything just needs to be cleaned up and the ride needs to be redone. They can leave it the Nemo theme. It's cute enough.

Energy.... Again, where do I start? The dinosaurs are classic I guess, but I'm sure those could be redone with better animatronics. And the movie at the end? Come on, it's a little long. LOL

Body Wars Pavillion... Imagineers would have to work their magic here. Gutted, and start over.

Mission Space... Probably not too much I'd do here either.

Test Track... Bring back old themed TT. Modernize.

The Ball... again, classic. Not much I'd do there.

Epcot needs to be brought back up to speed. It is no longer an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. But it could be.

I'm not a billionaire or even millionaire, but each year I donate a large sum of money to Disney. In return, I ask that they provide me with a room for 8 nights , tickets to each park and meal credits that I could use at their restaurants. They gladly oblige. :rotfl2:

If I were a billionaire with too much money to spend my focus would not be giving a large sum to Disney to make changes to benefit me... I would instead do a charity where I would take foster children and or disabled/terminally ill children there with the entire experience included. All parks... all water parks... stay at the Yacht Club.. the best food... personal photographers and videographers... toys galore... and plenty of chocolate.

But in the sense of playing along... I would upgrade every pool at the resorts to a Stormalong Bay type of level (Definitely including the Value Resorts) and bring back River Country. Hopefully this would deter overcrowding in the parks a bit, make it more affordable for families (Spend entire day the pool), and as for River Country I get to experience something I missed out on as a child.

I would make them use it for upkeep of what they already have. They can spend their own money on new stuff. I want the things that have made WDW what it is today kept in decent condition.

Sorcerer's hats.... Lots of GIGANTIC sorcerer's hats everywhere!

Brilliant!

One on top of the castle, one on top of Spaceship Earth, one on top of the Tree of Life (they may need to paint that one green to blend in better).

They can paint Space Mountain to look like one too.

I like the idea of less fortunate families and kids getting see Disney at least once. I would however add one thing to this, as my charity would fund the program the families (as a family) would have to complete a small amount of hours in their community before they go.

As for upgrades to the park, and it would be an investment not a donation, there have been so many good ideas.

I would focus on upgrading parks instead of 5th gate.

DHS would get Star Wars Land for sure. A Mos Eisley Cantina themed TS resturant. Some type of E ticket ride based around the pod racers and maybe one smaller style ride. I would love to add in a Pixar Place but small steps

EPCOT would add a screen at Soarin and with three screens you could have a choice. Soarin around the World or Soarin around America. I would take one or two of the bigger buildings up front that are not being used and create an E Ticket coaster thru the "Future" to tie into the future theme. Add another ride or make Captain EO something better. I would love a country or two in the World Showcase but small steps and spread the wealth.

MK I think I would leave alone and just do some basic re-skins or a few change of themes.

AK I love the idea of adding Australia. I don't think it is to late to stop Avatar in place of actual animals from Australia with a boat ride and Down Under Coaster.

If you were a billionaire with too much money to burn. Who happened to love WDW and decided to give Disney a LARGE donation as long as they did what you asked with the money. What would you make them do with said money?

Monorail Expansion and a some expansions/TLC to Epcot and DHS.

I'd give them $2B if they would design a tracking band to record everyone's movements, and replace the FP system with one restricted to how many you could get and that would lose your choices, and make you stand in a line to get things fixed. I'd also make them add fast pass to classically "walk-on" rides so they would now have long lines.

Just kidding....

I would make life more fun for guests. Standing in lines is not fun. So, build a lot more attractions. For $2B I would guess they could construct perhaps 10-20 more MAJOR rides. Star Wars, Cars Land, Villains, Harry Potter (oops, lost that one), Indiana Jones....

How about a FREE DAY? Give everyone who wants it a chit when they visit a park (no, not an electronic receipt, Disney's IT department tends to lose information). Then once every so often, they announce that "everyone who attended on such-and-such a date can use their chit for another free visit anytime in the next 6 months. Wouldn't that be cool? Would cost them next to nothing (the add-on cost for longer stays is a few dollars a day), so my billion would bring many thousands of people another happy day (riding all the extra rides!).

I would sit back and read everyone's idea and then take the ones I like and make them happen. Some I have alredy seen:

1. I like the OP's idea about the America section at Animal Kingdom. I would say instead of a boat ride, how about use the same track system as Indy and Dinosaur...but make them look like covered wagons. You would get the bumpiness of trying to travel across the great plains.

2. I love the idea of the Adventure's club and comedy club at the Boardwalk. But to add too that...more adult only day/evening entertainment. I see so many solo's, couple's, ladies trips, adult family trips that there needs to be some things added for just adults 18 and over. Cruise ships have areas dedicated only to adults, why can't Disney?

3. Add a country to Epcot - I would take a poll and the most votes would win. Although there were some great ideas from OPs.

4. YES YES YES bring back Horizons!

5. Update and reopen the upstairs of Journey into Imagination!

6. Bring back the smoke/fire/burning wood smell and the little chariot that would leave the city on Spaceship Earth.

7. I would love to have resort built that looks like some of the views that you would see in Horizons or I think now Space Mountain (at the end). When standing in the lobby of the hotel you would see a hill side of what looks like houses, but they would really be the rooms. All the rooms would be that modern space look to them. I have always want to stay in place like that.

Brilliant!

One on top of the castle, one on top of Spaceship Earth, one on top of the Tree of Life (they may need to paint that one green to blend in better).

They can paint Space Mountain to look like one too

I know...right? What is more magical than a giant sorcerer's hat? The one in HS is the highlight of my trips to WDW and I know that it means so much to others on the forum as well. So why limit that experience to just one park? I say put them everywhere!

If I wanted to waste money...I would convert the stagnate water around the Tree of Life into several crystal-clear reef showpieces. Then try could add attractions like swimming with Rays or Dolphins.

Americas section of Animal Kingdom with a Lewis & Clark adventure simulating a trip up the Missouri River featuring all the native wildlife they experienced between STL and the Pacific Ocean.

My original version of this idea was a wagon train across the plains, but I think I like the boat idea better.

This caught my eye because DD15 has been a Lewis & Clark fanatic- read the journals, watched the documentaries, gone to a couple of the sites...it's really an incredible story and would be awesome to highlight at WDW! This would be a must do for our family.

The wagon train idea is good too, I know my girls also went through a Little House on the Prairie stage and I think a lot of other kids do too.
