LOL...I have twin DD's who will be 4.5 for our Disney trip in Oct.We also will have our 18 mo old DD, but I'm not too concerned about her, she will probably care less..ha! We are planning a character dining (probably 1900 Park Fare or the Epcot one) and then will need 4 other ADR's. Suggestions?????

These are what I've gathered are "good" for kids...what else?

Ohana Dinner
Biergarten
Coral Reef
Sci Fi
Liberty Tree Tavern

Yes, Askerhus in Norway at Epcot is really a nice princess character meal. DD was four and a half on our last trip in december and loved it! I also recommend Biergarten, Chef Mickeys for breakfast, Sci Fi diner, and Chefs de France...if you are lucky Remy from Ratatouille will be there to entertain the kids:)

Have fun!

At that age my sister loved Biergarten and hated Coral Reef. Ohana and Sci-Fi were long in the future and I don't know why my parents didn't even think of Libertry Tree but they didn't. Biergarten and Coral Reef were the two we went to and the rest was CS or food from off-site.

My then-4-yo loved Hollywood Play & Dine (w/ Little Einsteins, JoJo & Goliath)..he was very into LE at the time. He also liked Coral Reef, watching the fish and turtles and sharks - we had a seat beside the tank.

He was so-so with 1900 Park Fare *Supercalifragilistic* breakfast and LTT (with characters). I think he could have taken or left them.

is a great place for kids that age since they're usually familiar with the Pooh characters. I like the food too. Whispering Canyon can also be a good experience for younger kids.

Coral Reef can be good if you get a seat by the tank, but that's not guaranteed. Sci Fi I find to be suited a little better for slightly older kids. The clips are from B movies and some younger kids don't get the kitschy feel of them. Just as I was really scared of The Blob when I saw it as a kid and lauhed at it as a teenager.

I would also put down Crystal Palace in MK any meal is good. Akershus is wonderful for breakfast and they should enjoy that. Liberty Tree has no characters any more, there are rumors that they are bringing them back though no confirmed reports. We also like Garden Grill in Epcot. Dinner is the only character meal now. Also Chef Mickeys at the Comtemporary is good any meal. Also Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine is good for Breakfast in the sutdios. At your childrens age they will love it. Playhouse Disney songs etc and they get to dance. My granddaughters loved it.

Hope you have a great time.:goodvibes

Some of my kids (ages 3 and 5) favorites are CRT, Teppan Edo, H&V, Akershus. DD likes the activities at 'Ohana, but we didn't like the food there.

I have been with DS, DD and DN all when they were about 4 years old. They didn't not like any restaurant (they were at Disney!). On the list of more fun that one or more of them enjoyed at that age: Liberty Tree Tavern (but was character dining when we took DS ages ago when he was 4); Crystal Palace; CRT; 'Ohana (breakfast or dinner); Fulton's Crab House (have seafood lovers amongst the kiddies); Rainforest Cafe'; Chef Mickey's (breakfast).

If I was booking five TS for my now 4-year old niece princess: I would do: either CRT or Akershaus (sp?); Rainforest Cafe'; Crystal Palace; 1900 Park Fare; Chef Mickey's

Our four year old loved Crystal Palace and the Tusker House character breakfast.

Akershus princess breakfast is the only place my 5 year old DD asks to go back to.

Definitely Crystal Palace! My kids adored CP at that age. We did a number of lunches there since it was a bit more friendly on the wallet and a great afternoon break if you don't want to head back to your room. If you are on the dining plan, my friends recently had dinner there and loved that too!

The castle is a magical place for a 4 year-old girl if you can swing that. I'll never forget that day and my daughter is 10 now. As we were waiting for our table, I mentioned that it was a fancy restaurant and here we were in jeans. I asked my daughter what would we do? You should have seen her face when I pulled out a beautiful Cindy costume for her to put on. :cutie: She was in awe as she sat on fairy godmother's lap and then everyone upstairs called her princess. Truly magical.

Have fun -- 4 is a wonderful age at Disney -- enjoy!! :goodvibes

When my daughter was 4 she liked the Crystal Palace and so did I. Of course, that was 9 years ago and there wasn't the variety of restaurants available today. Kids like buffets because they can see the food and it helps them to decide. So, wherever you decide to eat, I'd keep a buffet in mind. The CP's breakfast is really good. We don't like the other meals as much.

Our last trip was in 07 when my dds were 6, 4 and 20 months, and they still talk about lunch with the Little Einsteins and Jojo, and breakfast at CRT.

In fact, when I asked my dd5 what her favorite memory of our last trip was, she said breakfast at the castle. :) food is very good and all the princesses were there from what I can remember. only thing with CRT, I felt a bit rushed and we weren't offered seconds, which for the price would have been nice.

Heard about a My Disney Girl's perfectly princess tea party at Grand Floridian that is for 3-11 y/o but haven't gone there before. Here is a link:

Here are my suggestions:

Play and Dine at Hollywood Studios
CRT for breakfast (haven't had lunch, but dinner is pricey)
1900 Park Fare (we had dinner w/Cinderella, food was great and characters were lots of fun)
Chef Mickey, always a favorite

Have a blast, DW is so special that your girls will have fun no matter where you go. princess:

After taking my niece when she was 3 and this year when she turned 6 the character breakfasts were a huge hit with her, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Princess Breakfast...the TS dinners she was antsy and didnt want to eat

My kids loved Garden Grill best at Epcot(less crowded, as it is served fam. style and is not as big.) we felt like the only people there as the booths are arranged where you can't easily see the others, but have a nice view of the scenes in Living With The Land, as the restaurant slowly turns. And the characters spent more time w/the girls there. My oldest is 14 now and she still begs to go there every trip. Also,Whispering Canyon, Crystal Palace,Hollywood Play n Dine(characters took forever there ,we were finished by the time 3 came by..but little kids like it),Chef Mickeys. Also we did Tusker House w/reserved seating for Nemo show, which we liked.:cool1:

We love Crystal Palace too, and try to go there on each of our trips. I am planning on Whispering Canyon, Coral Reef and Sci-fi this time around too!

My DD will be 3.5 on our next trip in Sept. So far, we are going with:

1. 1900 Park Fare (she is obsessed with the stepsisters in Cinderella)
2. Hollywood and Vine Breakfast with Disney Playhouse Characters (I can't remember the exact name of the meal)
3. Crystal Palace
4. TBD--I am thinking maybe Chef Mickey's since we will be staying there or the Garden Grill in Epcot. She really likes Chip and Dale.
