Do you see better with your contacts, glasses or are they the same?

Its not much different but I can see better with my glasses on. Especially after a long day and tired eyes.

I see clearer with my contacts, but it feels so good at the end of the day to take them out and use my glasses. My glasses are pretty thick, so in the summer they can become very uncomfortable, that is when I am sooo glad to have the contacts! Oh, and I have started using Renu Moisture Loc solution, and I find it does make a difference on how they feel.

I see much better with contacts. Peripheral vision is not obtainable through glasses.

I like wearing contacts not because I can see better, but because I can wear reading glasses on top of it to see the computer. If I wear glasses, I have to wear bifocals, which I won't do. Plus when I wear contacts, my astigmatism goes away.

However, I have severe eye allergies when I wear contacts. So right now, I'm on a glasses only regiment to relax the eye allergies. I'll probably go glasses only for about 6-12 months then go back to contacts.

I see better with my contacts. My eyes stay dry more when I'm wearing my glasses and I don't get as much allergy "goo" in my eyes.

Contacts!! I probably need my glasses Rx updated, but even still, in the evening when I take out the contacts, I can actually see better w/o my glasses! I cannot read with my glasses on at all!

I'm nearsighted and see much better with glasses than contacts. Doctor said that was normal. :confused3 I'd assumed others would be the same but I see here that's not the case. Guess this is further proof that I'm strange. :bitelip:

Ditto. I wear my contacts about 16-18 hours a day. I've rarely had problems with them in 23+ years.

Woo-hoo! Someone is more strange than me. ;)

Contacts!! I've worn them for 34 years and b/c of my terrible eyesight would not be able to adjust to life with glasses, which are very thick and heavy as well.

I'd have to say contacts... only because you see differently with glasses... things tend to curve & no side vision.

I think my vision is the same with contacts and glasses. I prefer to wear contacts...just don't like having glasses on my face all the time. I just switched to disposable contacts and no longer use the AOSept that I have been using for years. I am using a CVS brand cleaner that I really don't like...any suggestions for a good cleaner (not to expensive?) I do have a sample of the Renu moisture loc that I will try tonight. Thanks!!

Me too! I can't see well at all with my glasses. Everything just seems farther away.

I generally see better with glasses, but I'm also REALLY nearsighted. I definitely prefer to wear contacts, though -- much less of a pain, especially on rainy or hot/humid days.

I used to use Aosept but after moving and saying something to new Eye doc about price of solutions he suggested I try Opifree and i really like this. I also like the new renu mosture loc. solution. I can use store brand solutions but I still prefer opifree enzyme cleaner.

I have an astigmatism....I tried contact several years ago but they felt very thick on my eye....and I dont like wearing glasses.....I am sure my vision has gotten much worse in the last few years....to the point where I know I need to try contacts again or get a pair of glasses for at least driving....
Any suggestions for contacts that are comfortable with an astigmatism/

I am nearsighted and also have astigmatism...I wear toric lenses that are very comfortable but they are a little pricey. Before I got disposables, I used Bausch and Lombe (sp?). Now I use Frequency 55 toric lenses made by Cooper Vision. My eyes have a lot of curvature and these are the only disposables that feel right.

Toric are the way to go. I can't remember what brand I have. But it took a while to find the right ones. I was about to give up. Good luck finding some for you.

I still use AoSept with my disposables. I'm sensitive to many of the preservatives in lens solutions and AoSept is one of the very few that doesn't bother me.
