If you wanted 3 sites together

We have 3 families traveling together the first week of August. We have 3 separate premium sites booked and the reservations linked together. I have read of people getting side by side sites when traveling with someone else but never 3 sites. I feel like the odds are stacked way against us and will be happy if we are at least near each other. But it sure would be nice to be next to our friends (especially for the 10 kids ranging in ages 5-18). What's our best shot of being as close as possible to each other?

Thanks everybody

The time of year will make a difference. Busier times mean less likely to get what you want. Having said that we have gone with three separate groups, myself, my son and my best friend. Two of us were next to each other and the third site was only two sites away, so it can work.

That's encouraging! Did you do anything more than just have your reservations say your were traveling together?

Yes I did request a loop near the Outpost and pet friendly. But just linking the reservations should be enough. Are you all arriving at the same time? That would be helpful so you can ask at check-in to be put together.

1) Actually, pretty slim.
2) You can ask at checking and the Front Desk CM will do his/her best.
3) Be satisfied anything, and overjoyed at side-by-side-by-side sites.

We travel with 3-4 RVs every year under a grand gathering. The key we found was ensuring that we all checkin the same way (everyone does online checkin at the same time, or wait till we arrive at FW to finish check-in.)

In the past 5 years 3 of those we where all in sites next to each other side by side or in a triangle with one or two directly accross from us. The past two years I have been 1-2 sites away due to the size of my trailer and not being able to fit into some sites on the preferred loops. Since we have a 40' 5th wheel, a 38' fith wheel and a 31' class C as the core of the group, it is not always possible in the 300 loop. When we stayed in the 500 loop they best setup we had was at a "corner" of two of us side by side and one on the other side of the road.

As long as your not in different loops or half a loop away, even if they set you up as a triangle (2 on one side, and one on the other side of the loop you are always near enough. There is no gaurentee but when checking in the cast members really did do their best to place us all next to or very near each other.

we had five preferred sites together for the first week in November. We just linked our reservations and got four in a row and one directly across from one of the four. couldn't have been closer to each other! good luck :)

It wouldn't hurt to call the fort about 10 days before your reservation with your request. I don't know if it would help but.. who knows.

We never had a problem with sites being side-by-side for our group of 3 families..but it's been 5 years since our last trip. I requested it at reservation time and then sent a fax with our request for a loop and to be next to each other, two weeks before going.

We are traveling with 5 families in June. I'll be thankful if we are in the same loop.
