Thank you SO much for this info. I'd been trying several times a day to get reservations for our trip at the end of the month and nothing was ever available. We always book our trips at the last minute so I have so much trouble getting any ADRs. I called T-Rex today and had my pick of times.

Definitely Call!!! 407-828-8739 We had made a reservation about a month ago for 9pm through the disney ADR system and I was so worried about it because that is SOOOO late for my boys to eat, but we really wanted to surprise them with this place. I called and got it moved to 7pm She said to tell everyone to call because they only give Disney so many of their reservation times since they are not truly a Disney restaurant

Like most the best time avail for dinner was 4pm through Disney, so we called and were able to get our first choice of 6pm.. it was so easy it makes me worry that they just give you whatever time you want and then you have to wait with everyone else who called... So if you called in, was there much of a wait or any sort of hassle when you went to check in?

I got my first choice time for 3 different dates in late Aug by calling the restaurant directly.

I've done both and I don't think it makes a difference whether you book through Disney dining or directly with T-Rex.

When we went in August 2010, we had booked directly with T-Rex for 6:30 on a Tuesday. When we got there, there was a line at the check-in counter. Once you checked in, they put you in a different line to wait for your table. We waited for about 10-15 minutes but I didn't see anyone being handled any differently. (in fact, it didn't look like walk-ups were being handled any differently!)

We went again last month (Thursday, 2/24) for a 4:45 reservation that I made with Disney Dining. The restaurant was much less busy at that time (just gearing up for dinner) but it was the same deal, go to the check-in desk and then you will be moved to the line to wait for your table. This time we were seated in 5 minutes or less.

I've had reservations two time and waited 45 minutes each time. Not sure if the reservation helped at all. But I have made them again for this year, hope springs eternal.

Thanks Trina! So it sounds like I kind of suspected. I think we'll just try to get there a little early so if there is a long wait we don't get pushed back far time wise with two little ones.

We did go to T-Rex on our last trip but went for lunch on a Disney ADR - we didn't wait at all but then the restaurant was half empty so I wouldn't have expected much of a wait regardless. We actually had a kind of rough experience there but it was the end of the trip and we're hoping to try again this time with better results - my 4yo son loves dinosaurs! Thanks again
