If you use a lawn service?

I gave a years service to my DH for Fathers day one year and we never stopped. It really frees him up as our yard is over an acre and he is a perfectionist so it took him forever.

Do your lawn services take care of weed eating. My yard is out of hand with weeds. How much do you think they'd charge to clean it up? I have a little over an acre. I'm going to make excuses for myself...I don't have the time...and really I don't.

If you mean chemical weed treatment, my son charges roughly about the same price as he does for mowing (takes apprx the same amount of time), plus the cost of the products used.

If you mean actually pulling weeds, you would probably be charged by the hour. Hard to say how much the going rates are in your area. You can usually get a free quote, I would try a few of the reputable lawn care service companies in the area.

I got sick of nagging my DH to mow the lawn.

I got sick of nasty-grams from our HOA the second one blade of grass was out of place. DH and I couldn't maintain out lawn to their standards.

I don't like yard work and at 30+ years old I've never mowed a lawn and don't intend to learn how.

So I pay $40 every 2 weeks. And when there is a problem the HOA takes it up with our lawn service!
