If you use a code, how does Disney credit you?

I have reserved one night at Pop Century in December. I'm hoping a discount code will come out, so I can call and have it applied to my already-made reservation.

My question is: since I'm only staying 1 night and Disney requires a 1-night deposit in advance, my room will essentially be paid for right now.

If the code allows me to get a discount in Dec., will Disney credit me back the difference: the money I saved with the code?

Has anyone actually had this happen???

Yes, they will just credit back the same card that you made the deposit with.

Other posters have indicated they had the credit applied to their room charge account. I think that is an option not a requirement, though. It just was a good way to know you wouldn't spend that extra before the trip.

We had a similar situation happen to us when we stayed at the POP in March. We booked through a TA but somehow when I paid prior to the trip the balance in full they charged the entire amount not taking into account the 1 night dep. I was told I could either get a credit back on the card or a credit to use at the hotel. We chose the credit back at the hotel & used it at the courtyard.
