I detest US radio presenters (cheese is NOT the word!) so dont really pay much attention to it although this Rock channel sounds right up our street

Rather weirdly (so my DW says) I hate having the radio on while in the US.

Not because I don tlike what they play - its more of a weird superstition with me probably conected to not wanting to be distracted and have an accident

I literally cant bear it if the radio is turned on in the hire car.

I tend to have the radio switched off for the first day or 2, just while I get used to the car. I can't deal with the kids asking me to change station or turn it up etc when im trying to work out how to turn on the lights and find the window switches etc.
But I like 97 Country when I get round to putting it on

We don't tend to listen to the radio as I think we were put off on our '99 trip. Every song was either Shania Twain or Ricky Martin so we tend to listen to all our bargain CD's that we buy there.

I will make a note for the Classic Rock station as this is my kind of music
