If you read these threads, don't buy the Universal Express pass, stay onsite!

I did the stay and scream last year and by 7:30 I had all the houses done! I never go on a Fri/Sat night. I usually go on a Thurs or Sunday Years ago, there was no such thing as Express pass for HHN (even when they had Express Pass ).
I have never gotten one for any HHN and have done every house, except one year.

I've done every house but only once on a saturday night, and I'll never do that again. I only do weeknights now, you get to see everything you want to see.

It's not always cheaper for people to stay onsite than it is to stay offsite and buy the Express Pass. We'd need 2 rooms, at what, roughly $250/night per room, so guess a total of $500/night. Our offsite villa is $100/night. It wouldn't cost us $400 a day to buy Express Passes for 6 in October, so we come out WAY ahead.

Universal resorts are Awwwwfully expensive.

Not sure if you'd get a better deal staying onsite than buying express pass.

Unfortunately if you stay offsite and buy the express pass, it's only valid for that day with one (1) entry per participating attraction. If you stay onsite at Universal, you get unlimited front of the line access to the attractions for your entire stay.

Good point.

I was unaware that you only get one entry per attraction??? That is fair I guess, but I would want more than one ride off of the pass. But I still think it's better than Disney's Fastpass. You just waste too much time with the Fastpass system.
