The books worked really well. They fit nicely into quart ziplock bags! And they were super easy to make and reproduce. The Woody book was the original book that I covered. The Tink & red books were reproductions out of mat board and paper. I've got a scrap date this weekend to help my buddy make two for her kids. They leave for the World May 27!

More news on the job front...

Through the grapevine, I have been told to not allow my phone to leave my side.

Someone DH works with, well their kid was in the first group of people to go through and they missed their opportunity to accept the position (bad for them, EXCELLENT for me...).

Evidently, GM called while the person was at work. Well, that person didn't call back right away because they were AT WORK. By the time they were off the clock and returned the call, GM had offered the job to someone else!

I'm going to sleep with my phone from now on.

2. Start seriously tracking at 3 1/2 to 4 months out
3. Book between 3 months to 14 days in advance

Thanks for posting this. I think I am not the only one struggling with the idea of air fare. I have never planned a trip this far out. I am sure that is the problem. As soon as I book our tickets I am sure I will settle down a bit.

See... when I got our killer airfare for last year... in February 2010 for September 2010, I booked just a few days off the release in the middle of the afternoon.

I watched and waited and waited and stalked and ended up with an offer I couldn't refuse.

You know... now that I think about airfare for our past trips - I've purchased at the best rate I could find at 3 months out... (bought in Feb for a May trip, both times). Interesting information!

Me too. Anytime I have booked a flight 3 1/2 to 4 months previous is the ideal time. So far all my research is not showing any discounts for the flight I want yet. Soon, very soon, I WILL book the flight and do one major happy dance!

I prefer the original because it is more music based. That, and I'm not a big fan of sarcastic, power-tripping birds! I'd like to hear the full version of, "In the Tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room" for the first time in a while! I borrowed some CDs from the library for our first family trip and it had Hilary Duff singing the song. DS LOVED it! When we got to WDW and the song cut off because of the show, he was like, "what just happened?" Poor guy.

Keep that notebook handy and make sure to take time to update and consolodate periodically so you don't have stuff written in a million different places! [not that I'm speaking from experience... ]

Why have I not noticed this before? Tomorrow I am going to start using "Dawn" dish soap! It says right on the bottle, "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove." It pays to read the warning labels.
