If you put it in writing, you have to deliver… right? A Dec. 2011 PTR

Thanks!

We don't put a lot of thought into what time we're doing what and how. We usually get things set up good enough that we can float along on the breeze. As long as we get our park days and food lined up, we'll prioritize what FPs we want to get and then just go!

I love this plan!!! :thumbsup2

Happy belated Mother's Day!

Hi, joining in from another PTR! I am going in Dec. too! Oh your lucky that you get to go with your best friend and congrats that her mom is letting you come! I am trying to loose weight too! I have been put on a diet from my doctor this week and I start on Monday! It's going to be hard to stay on track with the movie nights and summer and my LOVE for all ice cream and ice cream a like products! We can both do it! I LOVE those bags that your going to buy when you do it.... I am like you, I can't see spending the money on something like that- maybe I will give myself a pass too! I have to et to bed by will be back tomorrow! #35 post!

Sorry - I've really been MIA on this PTR and there's been so much going down!

new job...
.

I hope that you find out about the new job...sorry about the old job

Best point and shoot camera line, IMH(umble)O... are the Canons. If you aren't very comfortable with the technology, they aren't the most user-friendly. This one is pretty easy to use. That site, B&H, is where I buy most of my stuff. That particular camera is the "old" version, but the newer models are just as good.

I know several people who own the Kodak EasyShare ones and the love them.

I CAN tell you that I am not a fan of the Fuji, Minolta, Olympus, or Nikon point and shoot cameras. I've not had good, quality results from Olympus or Nikon, and as for the other two... the Minoltas are poorly designed and fragile. The Fuji claim to have a higher quality than they actually have, so you get short changed.

I hope no one from the Dis photoboard comes this way to read this. Brand of camera is always such a touchy subject :rolleyes1

On the trip planning front, it looks like you're really pushing things along. You tour plans look great; as does your food choices.

And Happy Belated Mother's Day to you all.

Don't look at it as a diet, more of a lifestyle change! If you load up on the good stuff, the occasional ice cream will be okay. I'm posting about the weight loss on here and also in a FB group formed by some folks from Touring Plans. The more I share about it the more I have to remain accountable for. It will keep me on track!

Oh, and :welcome:

It's alright PIO. I've not been on much lately myself. May is always a super busy month for me, and this one is no exception!

I hope that you find out about the new job...sorry about the old job
I did find out a bit from the potential job yesterday from my friend on the inside (strictly note that she is NOT on the other side...).

Back to topic... :rolleyes1

I found out that I was in one of the last groups (4/5) that they called - which is REALLY bad for seniority. However, apparantly 60 of the 90 people that passed the initial round of testing/physical exam have failed their drug test. A girl I know that went the day ahead of me got her letter to advance in the hiring process yesterday, so if I have one coming, it should be here today. :surfweb:

The semi-good news is that I obviously will not be leaving the current job before the end of term. I hate not seeing things through.

I hope no one from the Dis photoboard comes this way to read this. Brand of camera is always such a touchy subject :rolleyes1
I know... but honestly, I don't hang out much over there. I can only have someone tell me so many times that my education was incorrect and how I do things all wrong. :( Being initiated over there is like being initiated on the DIS itself.

Brand loyalty is something that is very personal! I just know how I felt about the cameras that I used to sell in the camera store. When we were bored, we would play with them - testing them out and keeping a few of the images on the cards to show customers. There were some brands that were really good, others, not so much - but from personal experience, I can't stand the Nikons, Minoltas, and Fujis. Ask E how the pictures turned out from the Nikon P&S I used... :sad2:

Thanks! I think we've slowed down a bit so we can stretch things out a bit more.

My goal this weekend is to get up in my attic and pull down potential lights for room decor. I also want to set a date with my buddy to work on the vinyls in the near future.

I have a potential senior photo shoot tomorrow, DS is graduating from preschool tonight, I have a wedding to prep for NEXT weekend, and I'm sure there will be 2-4 baseball games I'll be called to do. I also need to set a scrapbooking date with my buddy who is leaving for the World in 2 weeks. She wants me to help her make 4x6 autograph books for her kids. She likes the Disney books well enough, but they got the BIG ones last time and it was just too much for her to balance with two kids under 3. She also didn't care for the thinner pages.

Her new books will be similar to these:

I may make one for myself, but I can't decide what design I want to use... :scratchin:

I've got lots on my plate in the upcoming days... next thing I know, I'll blink and it will be June.

I'm also hoping that MK will be vacant on the MVMCP mornings, just like they are for MNSSHP. Maybe we'll get lucky and be able to stay on POTC until they kick us off! [remember Grizzly River Run, E???]

That was awesome!! and yes being stuck on POTC would just make my day... It is the ride I like to do first once I arrive in the kingdom. Sorry I have been quite peeps just got back from a wedding in seattle

Well, I kinda heard about the job. I got a letter saying I was eligible to move forward, but they don't have room now.

I HATE knowing that my performance on the tests didn't matter. All they wanted to see is if I could do it. So.dumb.!

Blerg to "don't call us, we'll call you!"

:sad2:

Is anyone besides me SUPER excited to hear this???

At today's D23 Destination D event, Walt Disney Imagineering gave Disney fans confirmation of a rumor that's been circulating for months. The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management) will be returning to a version similar to the original 1971 version. The Enchanted Tiki Room opened with the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971 and in 1998, was revamped into the current version featuring Iago, from Aladdin, and Zazu, from The Lion King. Fans have never really embraced the new Tiki Room, so this news comes as a welcome answer to the questions that have been buzzing around the internet since a fire in January caused the attraction to close for repair. The very first Enchanted Tiki Room opened at Disneyland Park in 1963 and was groundbreaking for its time - the birds in the show were the first Audio-Animatronics to be used in an attraction.

The new version will open this summer and will once again be called "Enchanted Tiki Room".

I know E isn’t a fan, but this, like HoP and CoP, are must-dos for me! I love them all! Call me old school, but I am really excited to see the two new birds go! Maybe they decided that Iago T’d off the Tiki gods a few too many times that they burnt him for real… but I’m glad to see them restoring the show to its former glory!

Now, how does that compare to our schedule?
Comparing the TP schedule and these numbers, there is a slight discrepancy between the historic data and the travel agent-released schedule (the shortening of AK hours to 5p and also having MVMCP on Tues/Wed versus Tues/Thurs). But seeing the historic data as compared to the released data, should these hours hold close to what they are now, we’re sitting pretty good. I know that Disney can and will change park hours, but I’m pretty confident in our schedule holding up!

On the weight-loss end of the spectrum, I am in a holding pattern. I have managed to do something to my knee (again…) and I’m not messing around this time. The same problem popped up in October of last year and my knee popped back into place before I could get my MRI. The MRI only showed a contusion so rest, ice, and ibuprofen was the “solution.” It has flared up a few other times, but I’ve gotten the darn thing to pop back into place after a day or so. This recent flare was 4 days. :sad2:

I am watching my food intake VERY carefully since I’m not moving around as much. Hopefully I can get in to see someone who will do something VERY SOON! I’ve already had two surgeries on this knee. At least I can look at it positively and say, "At least it’s not the good one." :thumbsup2

Chastise me now... we've never experienced this attraction... :confused3 I know right where it's located and we've passed on each time... scandalous, I know! :guilty:

:rotfl2: I'm just kidding!!!! :rotfl2:

I've never ridden Toy Story Mania...

:confused3 Which to you is more scandalous??? :confused3

So for all your planning genius you must not have looked at the schedule very well...

If what I found is correct, it has a going to DHS on a Fantasmic night and well you know how I fell about that WE ARE JUST NOT GONNA DO IT!

So I was thinking if that is true we should switch monday and thursday around, but won't make that switch official till I get the final word for the WDW site

On another note... you really do hurt yourself a lot? I bet its subconscious son't you don't have to work out :rotfl:

As per the job, sorry to hear they don't need you right away. Maybe one of the losers they hired will crack and they will call you :thumbsup2

I am telling you... my left brain is literally slowed in its processes.

Which side of your brain handles logic? The left side. Am I logical? Kind of, but I'm slow.

Which side of your brain handles math? Science?? Yeah... the LEFT side.

Which side of my body gets hurt most often?? The right side... which side of your brain controls it? The left...

I have required 10 surgeries on the right compared to 4 on my left. When I zumba... I have horrible control to the right. My feet drag. Going left is no problem. It is really annoying!

:lmao: OH MY! I love Toy Story Mania! Make you a deal... I'll visit the tiki room if you will do toy story mania and we'll compare upon return! :goodvibes
Deal!

The last two trips haven't allowed us to go on it. Easter week 2009 - it wasn't worth even TRYING... last September, I was the only person in my family to even go into DHS!

Hello!!! I noticed that we're going at the same time! December 11th - 18th.. :cool1:

I'll be subbing & following along.

Is anyone besides me SUPER excited to hear this???

I am excited by this news. I would be among those who didn't care for the new version.

Well, I kinda heard about the job. I got a letter saying I was eligible to move forward, but they don't have room now.
