I have to call DS's Algebra teacher this morning and I am afraid I might just loose my temper!!
Kirk did fairly well in math the first 2 marking periods, but we won't even discuss what he did for the 3rd marking period!!
(I already feel my blood pressure rising!). After the report card, long lectures, some grounding, I hoped I had reached my son about the importance of this class. I called the guidence office about a week into the quarter and asked her if I could get an "early" progress report for Kirk, just to be sure that I did reach him. I told her I didn't want any surprises when the 4th quarter progress reports were issued. She contacted all his teachers and submited my request. I received in the mail a report from all the teachers, except one....MATH! I called her back and asked since the teacher didn't feel the need to send me one, everything was going well. She seemed to agree that all was well with the world.
Well, the progress report came home....and for some reason, Kirk has only been getting half credit for all his homework this marking period.
Kirk said the teacher NEVER said anything to him about there being any problem with his homework. Wouldn't you think that something would of been said to either him or me that it wasn't being done!
IF he would of send home the report early like I had asked, everything would be ok now.
