I get that one wrong ALL the time....and I used to be really good at spelling/writing! I tend to agree with those that stated this is just an internet message board - I am not writing a formal dissertation here.....I also use ellipsis (sp?) and all that...I tend to look at it as informal, just getting my thoughts down and I don't stop to get out the dictionary or running through spell check.....I will probably get "definitely" correct for a while, due to this post - but who knows how long that will last!?

However, remember that separate is separate, not seperate. There is "a rat" in separate.

I agree that too many errors make posts hard to read, but also that this is a discussion board, so who gives a flying fig if people make mistakes.

The Google spellcheck is a lifesaver for me, but it does not correct the grammar. I try to think about what I'm typing, but just then I almost typed "tying" instead of typing, which it wouldn't have caught. Would the sky have fallen? Maybe, maybe not.

We all have our gripes, after all, and we could probably all find something that someone else does that bugs us. I'd rather look for the things that others do that I enjoy. Just the way I like to look at things.
