If you haven't had a chance...

Mike's the better one to meet. He serves alcohol ::yes::

:rotfl:

:rotfl: Yes, but, I don't drink alcohol -- weird, I know.

Sadly, we were at SSR in Jan, but, we'd focused the trip so much on what our extended family would like that we didn't take time for things like that. However, my DMIL and DFIL may have met him without knowing that they were meeting someone famous.

1. I'm not famous....am I?:confused3

2. I have a fabulous list of non alcoholic concoctions that I am proud of! :thumbsup2

Oh Orlando Mike. Boy am I spaced out.

I had the best Chocolate Martini at the bar in the main building when DI was the name there. Many years ago, I wish I could remember who made it now, but I was a good guest and sent a comment card in about it.

I'm rather recent to that building, so it wasnt' me..

But here's a blast from the past...

Before the Turf Club, or even Seasons....does anyone remember the Pompano Grill?

Well, you have hundreds of kids, so you ought to be famous.
Right?

Like the Old woman
in the shoe!
:thumbsup2

Seasons, yes. Pampano Grill, no. Was that before DI when the resort was the "Golf Club Resort" or something like that? And wasn't Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the mascots there at one time?

Tree Houses ROCK.

Right?

Come on sibs, Dad should be considered famous, shouldn't he?

Boy is my Mom gonna be confused when I introduce Mike and call him "DADDY"!!!

I TRIED to meet Mike AND ConcK! I think they were avoiding me. :rolleyes1

We had an amazing stay at the Poly (even though it was only 2 nights). My upgrade from paltry garden view to concierge with MK view was truly magical!! :goodvibes

We had a nice time at SSR, too, although we probably won't stay there again. AKL is our first love, and our home resort.

I was bummed that we missed Mike, AND ConcK, AND Bob & Bruce, AND Rob & Scott. Maybe next year!

JSG, that was an awesome upgrade! So maybe you missed them in person, but it sounds like the pixie dust was all over your trip.

I was once again not feeling well when they were there, so I missed out

As for the upgrade, that had nothing to do with me (I forgot they were comming that week :rotfl: ), but I'm glad they got it -:thumbsup2

Hey ConcK, can you forget I'm coming next week? I would like an upgrade to concierge at Pop, too! LOL, some of my friends used to listen to people complaining about how their trip was ruined because of the most idiotic things. So one trip we paid them all back, we were at the Stunt Show in DHS and one of the motorcycles wouldn't start. The show was delayed for quite some time. After we left, we told our complaining friends that everyone at the show was given a free upgrade to concierge level rooms at Pop. The complainers never did get that.

Boy was the joke even more funny when the guest services desk was renamed Concierge!
