If you have used a Fp for the MK parade

I would like for my son to see the parade and be at the front. Would using a Fp help with this? I don't know much about the viewing area for Fp and we have never been parade people so this is new territory for us. I would rather not camp out for a site for the parade 2 hours in advance.

The fast pass area doesn't open until 15-20 minutes before the parade so you don't need to wait for hours to get a good spot. I've gotten there right as it opened and sat front row and I've gotten in about 5 til and sat back against the fence. Honestly, sitting a little ways back was better for me. The floats are really big and it's hard to see when you're right at the front. But there are people wandering around ground level too so both are nice. What I really liked was that there wasn't anybody directly in front or behind me either time. The area wasn't packed but it wasn't the busy season so I'm not sure how packed it is when the park's packed.
