It appears this month that Time Warner Cable is adding a 'Broadcast Fee' to your bill

I got the form that said they are basically raising rates for all 3 of their services. The TV portion is only one portion.

We only have Cable internet through TWC and that is going up about $3 as well.



It is already VERY high.

I just did a Kidz eye survey and it asked if I would be willing to pay for commercial free TV for my child. Uh, isn't that what cable tv was suppose to be?!

I checked my last six bills and they went up times. Once $1.18, then .40 and another .35 so the total for internet, tv and phone (with one DVR and two boxes) is $187.00. We need to stop the madness!

They have a special for new subscribers in my area and it is something like $69 for the first year or so. Including 6 movie channels. But my bill is over $150. Sooo... This weekend we are dropping cable and phone and only carrying internet. I already have HuluPlus, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The extra cost is just not worth it IMO.

We did this about 3 years ago. It is AWESOME!
We also dropped our cell bill by over $100.

That $250 or so is going into an ING account to save for a car. I now have $10K in that account!

To think that the $10K is what I would have spent on cell and television in just 3 years!
