We go to MK on arrival day and departure day. Would you use 2 FPs for 7DMT or is once enough.

It will be myself, DH and 13yr old DS (his favorites are BTM and Splash Mt., we don't like Space Mt) and we don't do character meets.

I haven't been on yet, but you can't book more than one fp for a ride on any given day. You could book the three and then use the fourth to book another at a kiosk when the time comes.

If you mean should you book one fp for both days, I don't see why not. You only listed three rides and you can book all three for both of your mk days.

Im going soon and have booked mine train on multiple days.

If you ride it once, and hate it, you can always change the fp. More become available as the date gets closer.

I have been on it... we had one fp for the ride (thank goodness) and we got to ride it. The entire time we were there (one week) the lines were 70min or more for that ride. We really liked it and would have liked to ride it again. As someone already said... you can get two fast passes now... then after you ride it, if you don't like it you can switch the pass for something else.

I went at the end of June and had one fp for the end of our week long trip. We did stand by earlier in the week because we wanted to see all of the great things they had to look at and interat with in the line and it was a little over an hour wait. I think the posted wait time was 90 minutes. I was a little underwhelmed because it felt like it was less than a minute ride time. We rode in the front of the train. For our fp we were able to ride in the back and had a much better experience. It felt slightly faster. I would think it would depend on what time of year you were going since maybe there would be a slightly shorter standby time during low crowds. We plan on taking another trip next year to wdw and will likely only use one fp if any to ride it again.

The real question here is if you want to ride it more than once, not if you want to FP more than once. I would get FP for each time I wanted to ride it, as it sees some of the longer wait times of any attraction.

I have ridden it and it is a good ride, but I'm not sure I'd need to do it more than once. I'd probably let my daughter decide on a second go or not.

By adding the qualifier: "If you've been on the ride", it seems as if you are asking whether the ride is "good enough" to warrant a FP. But that is not the test. Efficient FP usage is about line avoidance. For the foreseeable future, the Mine Train will command a big line. So if you want to ride it, get a FP for it as many times as you think you will ride it. I might think that the Tea Cups is a better ride (just making an example here). But I would never get a FP for that because it would be an inefficient use of time.

And what he said. ;)

Book both.....it is hard to get a FP for that ride. If you don't like it that much...it will be much easier to switch your FP on your last day for something else.

DH and I went on it with FP three different days during our trip in June. With FP, we thought it was worth it. It was a very short ride and I certainly would not wait in a 70 min line for it. But we liked it, it was cute and well done. And so smooth! If only the big coasters at WDW could be that smooth. We found them to rather disappointing. RnRc, Space, and Thunder were so bumpy and jarring but would have been favorites if they were only as smooth as 7DMT. When we looked at the other FPs, there really wasn't anything else with such a long line except Anna and Elsa which we didn't do. I'd get them for each day you can, then cancel later if you don't think it's worth it.

Book two FP+ reservations for Mine Train: One during the day and one at night, it's a very different ride in the dark.

I was thinking of doing that, but then it blocks you out of being able to get any additional FPs for the whole day. Right now we have it booked on two of our MK days, because I knew it would be hard to get at the last minute. Figured we'd try it our first day. If we're not thrilled to go again, I'll change the second one. But if we love it, we have a second one all set.

On a side note, though, is it correct that with FP you don't get to see the queue activities/interactive stuff? And are they worth not using an FP and spending the time in line to get to do all that stuff? I really hate waiting in super-long lines, but if there's something we'd miss otherwise, maybe it's worth it.

I second this. Night vs. day & front vs. back had a huge effect on ride experience (we rode it three times.)

Edit to add: correct, doing FP you skip all the in line stuff. I never rode stand by so can't comment on how cool it is. I can't imagine it's worth a 90 min wait.

I have not riden it. But I think I would book FP for it for both days. Then if you didn't like it, you can switch the second one to some thing else.

We are new to the whole FP+ thing, I keep forgetting you can change it LOL:rotfl:, didn't even think about that being an option.:confused3 I guess I will book a FP for the first day and also one for the last day and like you all said, we could change it if needed.

I have three for my trip in September... can't wait!

I would just add that the ride does go down periodically. For our recent trip we had 2 fp days for this ride. The first day it was down from first thing in the morning until after 11PM; therefore, we didn't get to ride it that day. Thankfully we were able to ride it the 2nd day we had a fp for it. I would book it for both days, and if you are able to get on the first day, you can easily switch to something else if you preferred. Had we only had the one day reserved we would not have ridden it; because, the wait times were so long.

We did the soft opening on the 24 hour day in May. Once in the morning and again at night. I enjoyed both.

This is a good question. We haven't ridden yet. Our trip is a in a couple weeks. 2 of my 3 sons are a bit wimpy about coasters and they love Barnstormer. (Seriously.). At this point, I have a 7dmt FP for each of our MK days. I don't think we would ride it without the FP. I have considered to changing one of the FP to something else, but haven't yet.
