If you have an ADR for 9:40 but the place closes at 10?

I doubt they would rush you, but you may feel the need to hurry, and not enjoy your meal as much. I think if it is a traditional sit-down restaurant, the food will be fine. A buffet... iffy.

No they won't rush you. I have 5:00 ress to yak & yeti and the park closes at 5 they told me that that's not a problem they don't rush you.

We had a 9:40 reservation for CRT for our recent May 08 visit but I ended up cancelling it because I personally thought it was just way too late for dinner. I ended up lucking out and someone had cancelled a breakfast and I got that instead. That is what I wanted anyhow so I was VERY happy with that:cool1: Anyhow, I was told by CM that it wasn't a big deal but my gut instinct was just telling me that it was just not a good time so I cancelled. I wouldn't want to eat a buffet especially but anything that late and then go to bed not too much afterwards. Also, I enjoyed the breakfast buffets, 1900 and Chef Mickey's so I looked forward to a big breakfast and not a big dinner. The only big dinner we did was 1900 Park Fare and that was a 6:00 reservation. That to me is MUCH better for a dinner reservation or around 7:00 something. 9:40 is just too late in my personal opinion. Goodluck and have fun whatever time you decide on.

We had a 9.20pm ADR at Chef Mickey's and got there around 9.30 - we were lucky they even let us in. Anyway, we saw the characters in the first few minutes we were there, then they all left. Soon we were the only party left in the restaurant.
NO ONE rushed us, if anything we were told to take our time. The people minding the buffet kept putting up new, fresh food out even though there were only the four of us left. Only when we all started heading to the dessert area did they start cleaning up the dinner buffet.

So, no, we were not rushed, however it was extremely creepy. We ate as fast as we could and got out of there. I wouldn't recommend getting a late dinner ADR there.

You won't be rushed. I can tell you for a fact that during Christmastime, when Epcot is open until 9:30, there were still plenty of people in Chefs de France at 10:30. Long story where my granddaughter got to serve them water. No one seemed to be in any hurry to shove people out of there (why else would they let a seven year old serve water in the spur of the moment?).
