If you had to remove one attraction at WDW, which would it be?

I was surprised that this one didn't show up until the 3rd page. We had to watch the movie before one trip so that the children would understand the point of this attraction.

I must admit that we have not experienced COP, Timekeeper or Tiki Birds. All have been closed (seasonally or temporarily) during our visits.

Ecdubfan - You are going to hear about it from some for listing Dumbo!!

Food Rocks, country bear jamboree, timekeeper, swiss family treehouse, indy speedway, circle of life. I could go on with 5 more,, but you get the point

Astro Orbitor!!!!!! In all my trips I'd never done it until this past Sat nite dd begged. Hated every second of it!!!! And we almost lost Pal Mickey on it too....:(

MK-Snow White, although I'd like to see it updated rather then gone for good.

MGM- I've never done Sounds Dangerous but I'd take it out based on reviews here.

Epcot- Body Wars.

Animal Kingdom- I would just make Kali River rapids longer, it's too short.

For Animal Kingdom I would do away with the new Dinoland, it dosn't fit in with the park, not that the new attraction being built seems to be any different with the Animal Kingdom Theme.

For Epcot - Body Wars

MGM - Sounds Dangerous

MK - I agree with the Indy Race Cars.

Disnee Dad Says.................................Yall trying to kill off all my favorite attractions! Ok, maybe not.

MK Donalds Boat is just a waste of space, can't even call it an attraction. Consolidate the main street transportation, into a double decker bus. Haul ten times the people, and you might actually get to do it.

MGM I say star tours, even though I like the ride. Redo it and make it up to date, don't kill it.

EPCOT, My fave park. I would do only one thing here, change all the movies, in China, France, and Canada. These movies are like 50 years old, even if I like them. Canada is not all lumberjacks and snow. China is a little more democratic, and far more commerce orientated. France still needs to hide behind their past accomplishments,as they have done nothing recently, and are a borderline third world country, with their socialist agenda. Did I say that! Yes. Better not change the France film!

AK. Whirl is cool, I wouldn't cut here but would add transportation. Maybe golf carts dressed as anything, that gets me from one part of the park to another.

No, some kind of train/trolley, that circles the park, with a dozen stops, that you can get on when it stops near by. That's the ticket!

i personally love the virtual rides but the more time I spend at WDW the more I learn just how many people CANNOT tolerate them.

So for that reason I would say definately curb the design of this style movie no matter how cost effective it is.

at Epcot, I would like to see something a bit less commercial going on at Innoventions. and I agree with DD get some new videos.

At MK, I have to agree that SnowWhite is what started it all (money wise) so that would be like doing away with Walt himself. I have to say I spenda great deal of time at the end of a ride. You would not believe how intense AE is for more people of all ages than you would think.

At MGM, Although I think Sounds Dangerous is extremely lame, it is a great place to go and sit with my eyes closed for ten minutes in a nice cool room. It is refreshing, but not very entertaining.

At AK, I would say start by lowering the temperature by 10 dgrees and the humidity by 15%. That park is made for 4-legged animals not the 2-legged variety.

Everyone has an opinion, don't they?

The Indy Car Racers in the MK, I just don't think they fit in the Magic Kingdom.

Here is my list:
AK:
Tarzan Rocks-My whole family hated this so much that we walked out after only 5 minutes!!! We never do that!

Dinosaur-This is just a dark ride, and anytime the lights come up a dinosaur is there to try to scare you. DUMB!!!

EPCOT:

Rio Del Tiemp-BORING

Body Wars-Outdated

Can't think of the name of this last one, but it is the one w/a teenage boy. You are inside his head. This one is just terrible!!!! and SO OUTDATED!!! The clothes, the hair etc.

MK:
Hall of Presidents-just bores my family

Country Bear Jamobrie-DUMB!!!

DS:
Sounds Dangerous-yuck!!!

MK- Alien Encounter. All this attraction is is uncomfortable and too sadistic. It's just not Disney to me.

EPCOT- Universe of Energy. It's time to replace the show with something new.

MGM- Sounds Dangerous. In my opponoin, this is an embarassment to Disney theme parks. It's lame and not very funny.

AK- Can't really think of anything. Wouldn't mind seeing thr Carnival games gone. It's not that I don't like them, but they make that whole Dino-Rama area a little claustrophobic.

Hmmm.............The Indy cars, Timekeeper, CoP, Small World, and
Body Wars.

This is Cranium Command. My vote would be for this as well. It is so outdated and boring!!

I also don't like the revamped Tiki Room, I miss the old one. :(

OK, it's my turn....... :smooth:

MK - Indy race cars AGAIN! I hate those things. They are just cheap and nasty.
Alien Encounter just doesn't seem to fit in with the 'ethos' of the park.
Tiki Room is truly BAD.
It's a small world - do I really have to explain? The song, the stupid dolls, the lack of animatronics. VERY DATED. Disney, please note the year is 2003, not 1973.

EPCOT - Cranium command has had its day, it's very dated now. Universe of Energy, I just don't find this interesting at all. Plus is it still that Ellen woman? She annoys me.
El Rio de Tempo (Mexico boat ride) - this one reminds me of small world, and all its annoying bits. And that video portion of the high divers off the cliff looks like a clip from an early Bond movie, circa 1967!!!

MGM - I like the great movie ride but it needs to be updated, and not just the montage at the end.
Can't recall Sounds Dangerous, but it seems to be getting a bad reputation.
Indiana Jones - I loved this the first 2 times (saw it 12 years ago, same jokes, etc) but now it's like.....blah...blah.....blah boring.
Backlot tour - oh dear. Catastrophe canyon is fun only so the experienced guests can watch the novices get soaked as they sit at the wrong side of the tram!! The residential lot is just useless. Younger people cannot relate to Ernest and the Golden Girls. I include myself in this and I'm 29.

Animal Kingdom - Kilimanjaro safari. Please get rid of the Little Red/Big Red saga. It's not smart, it's not clever. We want to see real animals not fake elephants and a fake ranger.
Actually, I don't do the rides at this park, only the safari and It's Tough to be a Bug which is very cute. Can't comment on the others.

I've listed quite a lot there! You'd think I hated WDW but really I don't! I love it! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :p

I have noticed a pattern throughout this thread though. Most of the ones that want to get rid of this and that because they've seen it a million times and it gets boring are the ones that get to go to WDW often.....You have to remember that there are ones like me that just got to go to WDW for the VERY FIRST TIME, so everything was fresh to my family. We loved nearly everything there. Sounds Dangerous was the only thing that I came out of saying, "why on earth did we bother??" Of all of the parks, AK was the only one that I did not care for. I thought it was too huge. I felt like we walked for days and didn't really accomplish anything. I agree with whoever said that some form of transportation to other areas of the park would be a great idea. I never made it to the Lion King show, because by the time we walked back and forth back and forth I was too tired to deal with going there. I happened to love the Dinosaur ride. I was screaming through the entire ride. My scared of nothing DD8 finally asked, MOM! are you ok??? I laughed and told her to leave me alone, lol. We got a great pic of me pulling away from the one coming at me and she is just looking at it like it's nothing.

I see alot of people saying that this and that just isn't "Disney" either. I agree on some of the things, BUT, I think it would be pretty boring if everything was all ribbons and curls, if you know what I mean. I loved Alien Encounter. I also happen to be one that loves anything that will scare the bejeezus out of me. I know that it is not a theme for everyone but there are those of us that thrive on things like this.

Now, I'm sorry to have rattled on. I just wanted to remind all of you professional Disneygoers about the folks like me that are getting to experience all of the wonders of WDW for the first time. I would suggest that everyone take a break from WDW for a year or two or three so that it would all be kind of new again, but I know I'd have to walk the plank for saying such a thing! ;) Hopefully someday I will have went enough times to say I'm tired of it all too.

Ruthie, you've made some great points.:D As a repeat WDW guest, I will say this. It's the old classics that keep me coming back again and again - and while I sit at home thinking about whether or not I REALLY want to see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid AGAIN, it's easy to say that I've been there and done that, why waste my time? But once I'm actually there, it's fun all over. :D But Body Wars will never be fun - it just makes me want to hurl.;)

My votes: Body Wars ... Sounds Dangerous ... Race Cars
