If you had to do Chef Mickey's - breakfast or dinner?

Hi all,

I love the character experience at Chef Mickey's, but in the past years I have seen the food decline there. (When we had dinner there 10 years ago they had prime rib, and it was a great dining experience, but the offerings/quality of the food went down in our opinion so we haven't had dinner there in years. We had breakfast there 4 years ago, I remember it being ok.)

However the kids want to eat there again - which meal would you go with breakfast or dinner if you were to eat there? It's been so long - and if I went by the Trip Advisor reviews, i'd probably steer clear of it! So I wanted to ask my fellow DIS boarders!

Breakfast. It's much harder to mess up than dinner. And it's cheaper

Absolutely breakfast.

Breakfast is better in our opinion, we choose that and get the dining plan so could have either one for the same cost.

Same as above: Breakfast because it's cheaper and the quality doesn't suffer quite as much. Besides, then I have it out of the way and can enjoy the remainder of the day. Who needs the dark cloud of an evening meal at Chef Mickey's hanging over them all day???

I would choose a late breakfast, either on a sleep-in/rest day with no park admission needed but still getting some character time in or on an early EMH morning at MK where you can break from the park here, use it as a "lunch" and rest the dogs before hopping to a non-EMH park. JM2C

Back in the day, we really enjoyed dinner at CM’s. The parmesan mashed potatoes, prime rib, soups, dessert table were all wonderful.

Last time we ate there, the dessert table was a shadow of its former self. I swore the place off, I was so disappointed.

But in photos I’ve seen lately, it appears the desserts have been stepped up lately. I’m game for another dinner now.
