Which would it be? I am having trouble planning my food plans for my MK day. I currently have an ADR for CRT for dinner in September, but am thinking of changing! Should I stay with what I have, or do Kona, 1900 Park Fare or O'Hana?

Either Kona (not a buffet) or 1900PF(buffet). :earsboy:

Want characters - do 1900 Park Faire @ GF for dinner.
Great buffet and Cinderella and Prince Charming, Suzy and Perla, and the Fairy Godmother in the lobby.

Coconut races & hula hooping do 'Ohana @ Polynesian for dinner.

what time is your adr for crt?? Last sept ex and I ate there about 9 p.m..... wishes went on during... they dimmed the lights, there was only 3 other families there, the CMS gave us extra attention, the dinner was by far our favorite.. and the room lit up with the fireworks and they piped "wishes" in. It was the most magical moment of my trip.
After dinner, we basically had the park to ourselves leaving.. in the dark with the castle lit up on an empty main street... I can't even describe it:)

Honestly? O'hana was my least fav. meal of the trip.

My adr is 6:10. I already have 2 character meals scheduled for the trip, but 1900 PF is on there because I was there last year for breakfast and really enjoyed it, so I wouldn't mind going back for dinner. The others I have not tried. I have had the CRT lunch prior to the change and it was pretty good. I could take or leave the princesses. They were only at my table for about a minute each anyway. I made this year's adr for CRT because of the experience of eating in the castle-and I had heard it was previously very nice at dinnertime. Is the new dinner really geared toward princess-crazy kids like the breakfast and lunch are?

I voted for 1900 Park Fare. We did it for our first time this past trip for our friends' DD (BIG Cinderella fan) & it was great.

We also did CRT for dinner. It was AWFUL! Dont waste your time, money or TS credits. Go elsewhere & enjoy yourself!

Did you go to CRT post change? What was awful about it?

I was there post change. It is HORRIBLE for a character experience, if you're going for just the food - the menu is now very limited. My meal was ok (prime rib) but DH had a pasta dish that was HORRIBLE!

We ate here on every single one of our trips - next trip will be the first one without eating here unless they go back to at least one regular meal. We were VERY disappointed.

Ok not to add to your confusion, but I would pick LTT for dinner. Hands down, no question.

I chose Kona. 1900 Park Fair is nice, but it would be my second choice. Kona has amazing seafood and desserts. I love the atmosphere of the Poly and everything there. Food presentation is creative, and it's one of the good values still left.

I also have an ADR for CRT I'm thinking of changing, but we've never eaten in the castle! I want to go inside so badly- I'm just preparing myself. If it's not good, I will just enjoy the atmosphere and get something to eat later on. If eating in the castle is very important to you, you might do the same.

'Ohana used to be my favorite but it was my hugest disappointment last time around. The new menu wasn't good. The wonton chips were hard and greasy and the sausage tasted like it had no flavor and it was kind of like bologna without the spices. Only the dessert, wings and salad were good. The veggies were so hard they were inedible and the potatoes tasted like premade and just didn't go with the Polynesian theme. It just seemed like cheap bulk food, when it used to seem so fresh and delicious.

I would go to Kona, especially if you haven't been before- and take the time to explore the Poly- I think the grounds are gorgeous and the 6 pm torch lighting ceremony is pretty cool too. If you're there later, you can try to catch the Electrical Water Pageant across the Lagoon. Both will add to your fun. :cloud9:

Thank you all for the advice! Anyone else have comments on the new CRT, or advice on which one I should choose? I will only have one MK day so I can only pick one!

For characters I would choose Park Faire. It is excellent food and service. Otherwise I would go for Kona. The food is excellent as well and service is very good. Ohana's has too many mixed reviews for me to chance it. I want to spend my money where I know I get value in both food and service.

have fun,
Winnie
