This may have already been suggested, I didn't vote because this wasn't on there. The one thing I would like to see is Florida Resident status. This status would give us the rights to all the discounts available to Fl Residents. Passes, room discounts, dining card, everything. My understanding is that people who own timeshares in Florida have this status, and as such, we should also have this status. :earsboy:

I voted for FOTL access. We moved to Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal for 3 days after our last OKW stay. It was wonderful to have FOTL. We visited both parks and then had evening time at Citywalk.

I voted for DDE since food is the largest expense for our crew.

I would really like to see any "reasonable" but also usefull discount that would show some type of appreciation for the DVC Member. The discounts for 10% at where ever for lunch only I feel is a why bother.
I know they owe us nothing but what we bought and have read the same thing many times.
This is a what if post so I can dream.

I voted for discounted admission media. The other possible contender was FotL but the more I thought about it the more unfair it seemed to me....the guy who's worked his butt off to bring his family to WDW for a once in a lifetime visit should have the same chance and wait as I do to be tortured on Small World. At least with FP everyone is skating on the same sheet of ice once they're in the parks.

I get egalitarian at the oddest times. :cool2:

CarolMN, I really like this poll. I voted for make HA, S & NS guaranteed categories at the time of reservation. Discounts and preferrential viewing areas etc. would be nice, but I bought DVC for the comfortable resort accommodations that we want and or need.

I voted for discounted AP before I realized what FOTL was. This would be significantly more valuable than a 10% discount on AP.

FOTL would allow my family to accomplish more at the parks in alot less time. This would give us more time to more of the things we love when we are at Disney. Waiting in line really isn't one of our most favorite activities. This is probably why we try to come during the slow times.

This would be an absolutely huge benefit for people who can only come when the parks are busy. What a great incentive for Disney to sell DVC membership.

disynut - I'm with you. 10% isn't enough for me to buy an AP. 20%...yeah...probably. I'll went for the S/NS/HA room categories.

FOTL was #2 for me!

Please don't plant the idea that anyone should get front of the line (FOTL) access (or even unlimited FastPass access).

Put yourself in WDW management shoes. To whom would you give FOTL? Families that are spending $300 or more per night to stay at deluxe resorts? Or DVC members who bought years ago -- in some cases, ten years ago -- and from whom you now just get 2% of their annual maintenance fee? The former group needs to be wooed to return and to spend the big bucks; the latter group (us) is a captive audience anyway.

FOTL or unlimited FastPass access provides preferential treatment to one group of people at the expense of everyone else.

Agree to a point, but even ONE FOTL per day (talk about lowering our standards) would be nice, that way you could at least do 1 attraction if you arrive late in the day for an evening of dinner and a night show etc. I would still vote for 1 FOTL per day over 10% off AP. Plus I kind of disagree there would be no advantage to offer some form of FOTL to DVC members because most would spend more time in the parks (either buying AP or more Hoppers, dinners, drinks, less time at US) than they do now.

There were some good choices, but I picked the AP discount. I really miss the Disney Club discount.

Just as EMH does. An on-site guest arrives at an empty park and competes for ride resources only with other on-site guest. However, an off-site guest at an EMH park is doubly mistreated: not only do they not arrive at an empty park as on non-EMH days, but they arrive to a crowded park and did not have the extra hour on-site guest had.

Hmmm. I don't have the time, but I bet this could be taken much further. Do the discounts given to those who can affort an AP cause a price increase which others must pay? We've talked about how most perks that could be given to DVC Members have a cost that might increase dues; doesn't this same reasoning apply to perks given to AP holders.

In general, it seems like there are many cases where one group benefits at the expense of the rest - not sure that FOLT/UFP would be that startling a departure.

I voted for the AP discount, but the FOTL bit would be nice too. I'd just hate to upset the FastPass users by jumping in front of them. (They might decide to get even) I just sort of assumed that certain buildings at OKW, VB, and SSR were designated as N/S. Addtionally, on the perks issue .... does that exclude visitors that trade in through II? I'd hate to see them do the same to DVC.

I say discounts on tickets but it should be 20%. Hopefully when situations change with Disney management we will get more "benefits"
. We are going down in NOV and not even entering the WDW parks which is sad in a way since we have been there 2xtimes this year already, should have purchased APs but we didn't :( ANyway if as DVC memebers if we would have received a "ticket" perk for buying we would have definitely went into the parks on our first trip home and spent our $$ there. Instead we are going to Universal :)

Since fast pass is an option and works really well with us I see that as being fair. I really don't see the need for FOTL access. It just doesn't seem right plus FP is convienent when used with planning. Like get a fast pass for the huge demand rides then while waiting go to ones that have the shorter lines, grab a bite to eat etc. We have had FP work for us and see no need to have FOTL priveledges.

***"FOTL or unlimited FastPass access provides preferential treatment to one group of people at the expense of everyone else."***

Ever been to USF/IOA and watch their resort guests use FOTL ?

Gets real irratating.

I still think though that the DDE plan will save us more money in the long run then just a 10 point AP discount. I spend a whole lot more on food each year at WDW then I do on park media (AP's).

I think FOTL while a great idea would may way too many people mad. As Horace pointed out who would you give it to. Each group would want it:

Congierge guests
AP Holders
DVC Members

You are talking about lots of people.

Back in the days of A-B-C-D-E tickets you would be able to get books of tickets good on any ride. Not sure if you could buy them - I got mine from a CM. What I think would be a good solution would be if Disney offered a book of fast passes. Say 5 in a book that could be used at any park, at any tim, on any ride, any day.

That would be a nice little perk that would not over run the system.

Last I checked we are paying big bucks to be in the DVC, purchase price plus MFs. I also read somewhere on these boards that Disney says DVC members spend more on an average visit than any other visitors to WDW, including those who stay at delux resorts.

Personally, I like the idea of unlimited Fast Pass for anyone staying on Disney property. Everyone else would still have a limited fast pass option. I certainly don't think any form of FOTL should somehow bypass anyone else using a Fast Pass.

Plus the idea of FOTL is to get people who would normally stay offsite onsite. So there is an advantage for Disney to implement FOTL also :)

Our membership is approaching 100,000, and that's not counting our families. You're talking about FOTL for an awefully large number of people. At some point, FOTL will start being the longest line. And as someone else mentioned: If we get it, who else staying on property will expect it ?
