If you had a resort day, where would you stay

I agree with most everyone here that the Beach Club or Yacht Club would be the best choice. The Stormalong Bay Pool is out of this world.

Either The Poly or AKL. They are both on my wish list. I have visited both and they are beautiful. I don't know how bad the construction is at The Poly though. We visited before it all started.

AKL. Beautiful resort with lots to see and do.

AKL, CBR and/ or CS. BETTER and better. imho.

For a deluxe -- I'd have to say AKL/V.. BWV is a close 2nd... But keep in mind, they are 2 totally opposite resorts.
For a mod -- CSR
Value -- AOA

As a pp stated, there's so much to do and see over at AKL. Plus it has 2 great pools too. And some fine restaurants.

CSR is the best of the mods. It's a beautiful resort... Especially at night, and there is also a lot to do and see here. POR is a close 2nd..

AoA is the best/newest of the values, and has the best pool out of all the values... Not much to do ans see, but if $$ is an issue than this is your place to be.

If your budget dictates that you can stay at a deluxe/ villa, then I would do so, for there are way more things to do and see...

We are adding two nights on the end of our vacation. A Saturday and a Sunday night. The Sunday will be a resort day. Now the problem... Which resort? If you had a day to spend at a resort, which one would you pick?

We have never had much time to explore our resorts. That is one reason we booked a Windsor Hills townhouse for the majority of our stay.

Please share your resort day for any property including Shades of Green.

AKL....I could just watch the animals.

AKL hands down. Particularly if you pop for a savanna view or club level. I could have spent all day watching the animals from my balcony and the entire "meal time" in the CL lounge eating the wonderful apps at night.

I really like YC, can't beat the location, and I disliked my smaller, bunk beds were shoved in it room at AKL, but AKL is the only resort I have stayed at so far that felt like home.

I will depart from the others and say a FW cabin. Have camped in a tent there but didn't have time to do many of the activities at the campground.

I agree! FW is awesome. We spent 2 1/2 resort days here - no parks- and never got bored. I could easily spend a week here just biking, attending the campfire and the movie, hanging on the beach, visiting the horses, grilling, and enjoying the pool.

There is not a single resort at Disney that couldn't fill a wonderful several days. You really can't go wrong.

I was thinking of that one too! I mean I agree with all the others that are one the monorail loop and Epcot resorts but there is something to say about Fort Wilderness. We stayed at the cabin where one can sit on the deck and grill out, rent bikes and ride around the resort and there is a trial to Wilderness Lodge also, petting zoo, rent canoes, horseback riding, hay ride, sing-a-long with Chip and Dale while making smores and then a movie, Hoop-De-Do Revue, and Mickeys Backyard Barbecue.

Polynesian. No need to leave - Kona for breakfast, great pool, Kona for dinner. My perfect Disney day. And somewhere in there I'd grab an extra Tonga Toast and Dole Whip for a snack.

I'm going to 2nd the Fort Wilderness cabins. Since you are going in December, there's no telling if swimming will be an option. Weather in FL can be so fickle. The Fort has a ton of stuff to do:

FREE: swimming, hiking around the resort, playing on the beach, tether-ball, campfire sing-a-long with Chip and Dale M&G, movies under the stars, basketball, volleyball, tennis, watching the fireworks and Electric Water Pageant from the beach

Small fee: bike rental, canoe rental, pole fishing, wagon ride to look at campsite decorations, s'mores kit for the campfire

Bigger fee: Hoop-de-Doo Musical Review dinner show, archery class, horseback riding, Segway tour

Beach Club. We really want to go play in that pool, have all you can eat crab legs at Cape May Café, and take a stroll a couple doors down to the Boardwalk.

I'd do Yacht Club............primarily for the pool.............also like the proximity to my favorite Character breakfast at Cape May Café (GOOFY!!!).
