If you had $320 in your pocket...

If you had $320 which would you choose?

  • One night at a Deluxe Resort

  • Two nights at a Moderate Resort

  • Four nights at a Value Resort

It wouldn't go very far. I mean when you add in food and what ever else you would do. May be two nights camping! LOL

True, but the $320 would be just for the cost of your room. LOL

4 nights... it's not really worth a trip from Massachusetts for stays of less than 4 nights.

I love the deluxe resorts but anytime I can stay for 4 nights instead of 1 thats what Im doing.

How about 6 nights at the Marriot Orlando World Resort, 5 minutes from the front door of the Magic Kingdom?

Apart from renting DVC points, Priceline is my favorite way to go to WDW...

KCMiller, can I ask what kind of deals you got with Priceline?
I've never tried them.

I would want to get as many days in at WDW. So it seems that going the value way I will accomplish it. I guess that explains why we are staying there for 11 days and then going to Clearwater and Treasure Island for the rest of our stay. 17 days of vacation! This is our family's first big trip. We usually just go to Niagara Falls for the weekend; so for us being gone this long will be a true test for hubby, the kids and myself. Wish me luck!

More time at the parks!!! Really, how long are you in your room for?? Dont get me wrong, the deluxes are fantastic, but if I HAD to choose, I would definatley go with the Value to have more days there!!

I would definitely stretch that money as far as it would possibly go! And a longer stay at WDW, IMHO, far outweighs the chance to stay one night at something nicer.

Surely you're not talking about 1 night total? Is this your total stay or are we talking about tacking nights onto the end of a trip? I prefer the deluxe resorts, but if you're only spending 1 night total, it wouldn't even be worth going to me. I don't think 2 nights would either.

Four nights at a vaule, anything that lets me stay longer is ok in my book. :)

You can get into a Deluxe room for MUCH less than $320 per night. Rack rate for WL and AKL during value season is, I think, $199 per night, and doesn't include whatever other discounts you can muster up.

I'd go for the four nights if $320 is all you have for the room portion of a trip. BUT, if you're already staying at a value or moderate and have an extra $320 to burn in addition to the other vacation it might be neat to upgrade for a night or two.

I agree with another poster, though. I'd also look and see how many nights I'd be able to get at a 1br villa by renting points from a DVC member. You'd probably be able to get at least two nights and maybe even more and the villas are much nicer and roomier than standard hotel rooms at WDW.

If I had $320.00 in my pocket, I'd save it and wait until I had at least $1700 more and then I'd chose a moderate or low level deluxe and stay for at least 7 days. I wouldn't go to disneyworld for only 4 days, but thats because I live in California and have to had a day of travel each way. It seems silly to me to travel so far and only stay a little while, or stay in a resort I wouldn't enjoy.

I would w/out a doubt stay 4 nights at a value. We loved Pop Century last year and will probably stay there again. :sunny:

4 nights definitly. the more time i can spend in WDW the better. the deluxes are a great place to stay but i will always choose the longer stay over nicer rooms everytime
