Here are some other options when flying through ATL to MCO on Delta and you miss your connection or if there is some other problem. If you can't get a flight to MCO you can also try these airports:
Tampa (most people know this already)
Melbourne (a little over an hour away on Florida's Space Coast)

Daytona Beach

These are good to keep in mind when dealing with a CSR because often they will not give you these options. In addition these airports are serviced by Delta and Delta's wholly owned subsidiaries of the Delta Connection, therefor you are better off dealing with a Delta CSR than say a Comair or ASA CSR as Delta will have information on all flights but the Delta Connection subsidiaries may not.

As a rule of thumb try NOT To deal with anyone on the Delta Connections. You are better off picking up a phone and calling the 800 numbers. I fly Delta all the time and I promise that those Delta commuter people in Atlanta are just horrible. Leave that terminal and find someone else.

Thanks Carol, I meant to also add that you can call the 1-800-221-1212 number (yes I have it memorized, how pathetic) and oftentimes that IS the most helpful because not many people think about that. I wish I would have thought about calling Delta when I was stuck in Ireland (of course not at the 800 number), it would have alleviated a lot of problems!
