If you get Instant Fast Passes--check to see if you're lucky

I'm don't think other hotels are giving these out, but Grand Calif and Disneyland Hotel give you 2 Instant Fast Passes when you check in. Each ticket is good for 2 instant passes (2 rides/2 people). I think each person checking in gets 1.

Anyway, they are only supposed to be good for 1 ride. Ours kept working!! Found out by accident when our friend said his kept working in the fast pass machines. Not all did, but some did so essentially, instant fast passes for every ride that has a FP machine.

That made this trip quite spectacular!!! Especially on Saturday when it was packed.

Just posting so you can try it. Don't just toss pass after using it once. Pop it in the machine and see if it works again. And again!

OP is making it sound like you have to use your park tickets to get the FPs? And for some tickets you randomly may get unrestricted or unlimited FPs.

It's like a paper ticket. You put it into the machine and you get 1 instant fastpass for that ride. It is suppose to work 2 times, but I guess some peoples are working more than 2 times. I never thought to check mine last week. What a nice surprise.

I am confused. I have the package at PPH with the fast passes as well. But I thought they were issued at check in. Are they actually loaded on the tickets already? Our tickets are actually cards.

I thought they were actual paper fast passes, not tickets you put in the machine........they are given to guests of the 3 DLR hotels, GCH, DLH, PPH. I find this interesting.....

When we were there in August we each got two FP', we the took the FP's and placed them in the FP machines for a certain ride and it kicked out a FP for that ride that went to the CM's at the ride..but if we tried to reuse for another side we would get a tick stating the FP(from the hotel) had been used..just my experience. Saved us a ton of time and we could use them any day during our stay.

We had some crazy glitch where they worked in all FP machines. I'm saying check yours, you may have the same luck. There is not a return time on an instant FP, you can use it immediately. We were able to do this on all FP rides we wanted.

Do you mean the paper tickets you received at the hotel should be good to obtain 2 FPs for a specific ride and you get 2 paper tickets, one for each specific ride of you choice? But in your case, instead of using the tickets on the specified 2 rides, the tickets work for other FP rides as well. So, do you still get the limit of 2 instant FPs for each ride or unlimited FPs for each ride?

Planning to do split stay and have two nights at PPH for the Disney perks. Does this offer come with room only reservation or does it come with only the package reservation with tickets?

We had 9 of these, so good for 18 FPs and didn't get a chance to use most of them (just 2 for Goofy's Sky School on our last day). Wish they don't expire.

We are going on Friday for 3 days.... We have 2 rooms at PPH with 5 adults and 2 kids. 3 adults have AP's. Anxious to see what the last poster says.. Will definitely give it a try!

I guess if I really wanted to ride everything multiple times I would have appreciated them more, but with my desire to ride EVERYTHING at least once and using Magic Mornings and weekday low crowds I really never needed them.

Hi!!! My fast passes didn't work more than what they were supposed to... we tried. We didn't try until the last day because we utilized Magic Mornings and the low weekday crowds to get most everything done. It was super nice to meet you!! DH was amazed we were recognized from our avatar

Ha! To be fair I am sort of weird (gifted?) about remembering faces (not necessarily names)...I used to see people out somewhere and be like "didn't you sit next to me in blah blah college course" and they would be totally freaked out and not recognize me at all!

It was nice to meet you and hope you guys enjoyed your trip as much as I did! Magic Mornings were the BEST!
