Happy Birthday To...
DING! is turning one tomorrow, and Southwest is throwing a party. And we all know you can't have a birthday celebration without party favors, so make sure you download DING! before tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28, and we'll cake on the savings with ridiculously low DING! fares in every Southwest market.

DING! is the first-ever "direct link" to airline Customers' computer desktops, delivering discounted fares to a variety of Southwest destinations. To take advantage of these super low DING! fares, download DING! before February 28, 2006.

Got this in my email this morning!

What do you put in when it asks for a zip code?

Depending on the airport, Buffalo is 14225. Just looked up Detroit, postal code 48242.

Thanks does anyone know detroit?

I had Orlando as my home airport when I had DING (I'll download tonight, but I want to go in August, so my dates aren't available.) I figured when they had the Buffalo to Orlando (or Detroit to Orlando) specials, they also had the Orlando to Buffalo/Detroit. 'Sides, I just liked having Orlando as my "home". :rotfl:

I have tried to download DING a couple of times. Seems successful; but when I clicked on the Ding window I got an error. Might try one more time this evening. Any suguestions what might be causing the errors?

Are you having problems downloading the Ding, or installing?

Do you put in the zip code that your home airport is? or the zip code of your destination?

Thanks

Seems to downlown and install correctly. I get the SW tail on my tool bar. Click on it and the Ding Window pops up. When I click on details or any other link on the Ding window I the error.

:confused3

I have "DING" on my toolbar, but I didn't get an email today? :confused3

Hoping we see some good deals tomorrow :goodvibes

(I'm watching and waiting for December 2005/January 2007 fares and resort deals :teeth: )

iluvwesties (aka Carol) :wave2:

I'm another "DING'er" who didn't get an email about this but I'll be sure and keep a check on it tomorrow! :duck:

I think that the email was sent to Rapid Rewards customers to make sure that they sign up for Ding. If you already have it the email isn't necessary. We have subscriptions to some sort of email service from Rapid rewards that sends info regarding specials.

how does DING work anyways?

I just found a tread on the transportation board that might help you with your Ding questions. Look for Dings from Orlando sticky thread. Also here is a link on how to access Ding thru the backdoor method.

Hope this can help. I know I have being looking for this information myself.
