If you do not like the new on board booking policy you need to let DCL know how you feel.

If you are sailing soon the best thing you can do is to put it on the comment card you will receive at the end of the cruise. DCL reads those cards and if enough guest express their unhappiness maybe the will modify the policy.

Remember when they tried to change the alcohol policy guests are allowed to bring on board? Enough people spoke up and they changed it back quickly.

I understand they may need to have a policy in place but I think 25 months is fair. Some guests like to sail every other Easter or Thanksgiving and those holiday dates change so we need some wiggle room.

If you are not sailing soon you can send an email to Disney Cruise Line.

I never see a line for me to write comments on my comment card. Do I just find a space somewhere?

I vote for 25-26 months. That seems the most reasonable. And I will write on my comment card and may send an email too!

It is a very small spot at the bottom of the card. I just sailed last week when the made the change and I stuck and extra piece of paper on and added more comments. They really need more room on the comment card.

I now take along my own notepad and envelopes when I want to add comments. (I still fill out the form, but add to it with a short letter.):thumbsup2

this is a great idea for a thread...instead of whining, DO SOMETHING!!

where are all the old hippie-dippies from my youth?!;):rotfl:

If you are filling out the comments, just remember to add the good along with the bad. They like to hear when they are doing a good job too.

Good advice. Thanks for posting this.

About time someone thought of something productive instead if complaining.

If you don't like it you can comment or not sail, if enough people do they'll change, if you are in the minority than I'm sure you'll have a fine alternative vacation.

I did this and here was the response:

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for sharing your observations regarding the changes to the
Onboard Sales Offer.

We regret your disappointment with these changes and appreciate your
concerns. Please be assured, your suggestions have been shared with the
appropriate management teams. It is not our intent to upset our loyal
Disney Cruise Line Guests.

We constantly evaluate and monitor the Onboard Sales Offer and
occasionally make adjustments to ensure that we are providing the best
possible offerings to our Guests while maintaining the spirit of the
program.

As a reminder, Guests with existing onboard sales reservations have the
opportunity to sail before November 30, 2015, and retain the offer.

We hope your concerns will not continue to affect your regard for
Disney. There is magic in the Disney name and we anticipate sailing
again with you and your family in 2014.

Sincerely,

Wilma

I sent a long email too. Wonder if I will get the very same email? All of us who are unhappy need to email...I think it would make a huge difference if there is a flood of emails!

Sent an email already and I will definitely add this to the comment card on our August 2014 cruise if the policy remains in place.

Thank you for the email address. I just sent my email. We are sailing next month on the Fantasy, and wanted to book our next cruise to Alaska in 2015. Since we are not able to go until July or August, (due to school), we were out of the 18 month range. Our December cruise was booked November 2011. I will for sure fill out the comment card as well on our upcoming cruise. :)

Great thinking....just sent off an email. I won't be booking if it's 18 months. We'll just use it for a non-Disney land vacation elsewhere.

Just sent them and email, hopefully it helps. They really need to try and work it out a different way :cool1:

Is everyone getting the standard reply?

We need to keep writing in. Especially those who are sailing soon and can write it on their comment card.

can someone fill me in on the new policy? or direct me to where it is located? I just rebooked on board in June for next May 2014.. and i was planning on moving it to May 2015? just wanted to know if the new booking policy affects me? thanks!
