Fish and Chips

Do you have establishments that serve only fish and chips? Fish and chips is a regular menu item in many of the restaurants I go to, but I've never seen a place that only served it alone.
We do have a few fish restaurants. The most common is the local chippie, who sell as fast food beer battered fish and chips, usually with onion rings and mushy pees. There are some classier fish restaurants like the Regency and Into the Blue near to us - they serve everything from fish 'n' chips to calamari and paella.

[ETA] I'd say the local chippie is as common as a take out pizza joint, fried chicken joint or McDonalds.
I've certainly seen seafood themed restaurants, but they sell all kinds of seafood. I've never seen one that only sells fish and chips and nothing else. I wouldn't mind having one that did that, because I love fish and chips, but I've never experienced one like that myself.

Our local chippie is a huge crowd puller. Tried it for tonight, but the queue was out the door and round the corner! Literally all they sell is fish and chips with sides. You have a choice - cod, haddock or plaice.

Ayuh, fish n' chips is wicked a thing ‘round heah—especially if ya swing through Boothbay. We got this lil’ shack called Bet’s Famous Fish Fry that sells nothin’ but fried haddock and fries, and lemme tell ya, the line's longer than Route 1 on a July weekend. No frills, just fish, chips, and regrets if ya show up late. 😄

Some of our restaurants do serve fish and chips, but none can compare to the fish and chips I had in Vancouver. My mouth still waters thinking of it.

Long John Silvers is probably the closest we have right now... Arthur Treachers was closer. I miss it.

I see Captain D's when I'm down south. It looks like a regional southern chain that is very similar to Long John Silvers. I've wanted to stop and try them but I usually am trying to get to my next stop and don't take the time.

I really enjoyed fish and chips in England when I lived there.
We have a local brew pub in my town that makes delicious fish and chips here in the US.
Nice treat!

There are Captain D's up here. We've eaten at them in Ohio...

I had no idea. I see them so often down south, but never seen them around where I am, so I just assumed they were a regional southern thing. Learn something new every day!

Are they like Long John Silvers?

It's a thing where we live. In fact, we just found a place that does British pub food: fish and chips (cod or haddock), steak pie, bangers & mash, bubble & squeak, even a sticky toffee pudding. Not as good as in the UK obviously, but we still enjoyed it.

I have a friend who keeps asking me to go to a place that serves scotch eggs that he seems to love. Since there are a few of you here that might know for sure, are they as good as he makes them out to be? He raves about them any time we talk about making the trip to get them.

I've never seen a restaurant in the US that only sells fish and chips but British style pubs that have it on the menu are plentiful. I don't usually go to those as I'm not the biggest fan of traditional British food.
