If you died today...would your internet friends know?

There are only a few who would even care, but no, they probably wouldn't know. I think that's better. Better for them to think I'm off being busy than that I died.

If I suddenly disappear and have a signature, you'll know I died (or I'll tell you I'm back as Another Bean.) If I suddenly disappear and don't have a signature, you'll know I was banned.

For one site I go to regularly, yes. I've been a part of that community since before DD was born and many of its members are people I see IRL from time to time. We keep an alternate contact list of email, phones, addresses in case something goes kerflooey.

For the DIS, I'm not sure. I'm only in email contact with one person from here, but wish that maybe I had a greater connection with its members, but sadly I don't.

That is what happened after my car accident a few years ago. I called a friend here for help ( ZachNElli thanks again!) and she kept everyone updated here.

Dh would figure it out when people started calling LOL.

Dh would let my friends know, including those who I exchange emails with because they've moved away, but he probably wouldn't post here.

My Dad had a Folder on his desktop Entitled When I Die, it had all that sort of stuff in it.

I do not have anything like that, and most likely my online friends would not know if I die.

I am under firm orders from my best friend to update her Facebook status to "A is dead." and also update her Livejournal.
I can only hope that she'd send the waves that I was dead if something happened to me.

I know what sites my husband reads and he knows what I read. We would of course tell other people, it is the only polite thing to do.

I've mentioned it to him that he would need to tell some online people but I don't honestly know if he would remember. Just the other day he seemed to have no recollection of us ever opening an online bank account. I had to remind him again where everything is kept.

I think he just has too much work stuff on his brain. Everything at home is organized & he should be able to find it, but maybe I better write him some instructions just incase. Poor guy.

Yes. I have many phone #'s. My DH would call someone and or let them know online. Even if he wasn't in the frame of mind or forgot they would try to contact me if gone too long. I know because it's happened before when I was gone too long without meaning to be. Thanks frog folks for that one.

I have a phone that has everyone in it, and my husband would likely know to call them..............BUT even if he didn't, if I was out of contact for just one day, they'd be calling.....................they're the best friends I ever had.
