Here's the thing. I don't believe anyone thinks SAHM's are lazy. But, the reality is that many people are simply not in a financial position to be able to do that. And these same people who work full time have just as many responsibilities with their children as SAHM's do, but they have 40 fewer hours to make it happen. That may mean pawning some off on those who are available, but it is a TREMENDOUS task to try to keep it all together AND work a full time job. MUCH harder than just being a SAHM. We went from my wife working full-time, to now working part-time at the kids' school, and she's off when they're off - including snow days, Summers, Spring Break, and X-mas. I wish she could quit completely, and we're obviously envy families that can make it happen. Her days are still very, very full despite the reduction in work. And she's even taken some of the burden off ME in the process. But even at that, to say that her job as a mom is as "hard" today as it was when she worked full-time would be a lie. That's not a knock on her, nor on those who stay home full time. Your job isn't easy - far from it - but it is easi
ER in comparsion. If it wasn't, why on Earth would anyone do it?
