If you crashed on the maze-PM VMK and get prize!

Ok, what happened to the supposed name taking? VMK_Babs told me they were writing down the names of those in line and would be awarding prizes to those people. My DH tried for an hour to get in and kept asking if they were taking his "title" and they said yes.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

One of the VMKs (I believe it was Babs) was in the medium maze entrance room when I made it there and said she was taking names. I made it up to be next in line for the teleporter when I crashed. The next day, a Master Gracey pin was in my inventory.
