O my husband and I are going to Orlando for a week right after labor day. What is the one thing you would recommend we do while there?

go to disney world.

thats it.

Besides Disney World. Is there anything else in Orlando--Museum? Landmark? Something?

I will be there shortly with my bf as well and would love to find something to do for adults outside of the parks.

I know that this is a tall task in barren Orlando......:lmao:

There is the ICE BAR on International Drive not far from Tommy Bahama's and Bahama Breeze. $15 cover charge and 45 min to stay and drink in a bar, chairs tables etc made completely of ice!

Actually, there is a ton of stuff to do in Orlando, especially if you head north. If you want some touristy stuff, take an airboat ride just east of Kissimmee or check out the Kennedy Space Center. You have some of the top beaches in the country less than an hour away (for a bit farther drive check out New Symrna, a favorite among locals). The outlets are great (there are two of them). If you enjoy regular shopping, the Florida Mall is HUGE! There is the Amway arena which hosts worldclass concerts. There is also SAC improve theater that is quite well known as is the Bob Carr performing arts center. Downtown Orlando has some wonderful restaurants, as does Winter Park and Longwood (if you are willing to drive a bit). It can also be fun to check out all the Disney themed hotels for a day. Citywalk at Universal has good nightclubs (not all touristy) and downtown Orlando has many evening venues as well.
