We want a very laid back trip and only want to make reservations at ONE..maybe two "good" place. We don't care about characters and are very open to eating anything and everything. It will be Hubby, myself, and a five year old.

LeCelliar!

That is the first thing that came to my mind. Everyone liked it, including the kids.

I really liked Biergarten, and think it would entertain a kid pretty easily. Are you thinking something more casual, or a signature restaurant or a show?

Boma is delicious and different. My three year old found lots on the adult buffet portion she loved. It is at Animal Kingdom Lodge which is also fun for a 5 year old as you can go out and view animals.

Is the 5 year old a girl...and maybe into tea parties? The Afternoon Tea at the Garden View inside GF is wonderfully special, delicious food and yes, it is very filling so even hubbys can get their fill. Not sure a 5yo boy would be as interested though.

I agree with the others O'hana is a lot of fun....time it so that you're there during the fireworks and ask for a table with a view of MK....that is a very different way to see them. Also, most nights O'hana has an entertainer so there is a little bit of fun as well.

Another vote for Boma here. All 3 of us loved it and the variety makes it easy to make everyone happy.

Our must-do's every trip are Raglan Road and 'Ohana (and Sci-Fi but that's more about the atmosphere than the food).

O'Hana dinner is our can't-miss! Any meal at Kona is a VERY close second ;)
