If you could pick any 4 day stretch, based on low crowds,

My pick would have been last week. If you are looking for low crowds despite all other factors like weather and ride closures and lower hours, I would go in the later parts of January away from holidays and races, or in February away from holidays. There is likely some thread here somewhere, likely from HydroGuy that spells out the pros/cons of when to go.

I agree that the lowest crowds are going to be in latter part of January (after the Holiday season ends) and February (not President's week). The next tier would perhaps be in late April (after Spring Break season ends, but before the summer breaks starts), the tail end of summer (last week in August), and very early November (after HalloweenTime, but before the Holidays really get started). Still, there are trade-offs to consider when going during the slow(er) times of the year...weather, shorter operating hours, reduced entertainment (you'll likely miss out on fireworks, F!, and Mad T Party if you only go on Mon to Thu), increased ride closures (planned refurbishments), etc.

I agree with @figment_jii on all those times. I usually go in November and February and find those the parks to be very good times in terms of crowds. The shortened hours are never a problem because it's relieves the pressure to hang on until midnight, which I can never do with a 4-year-old. The only problem I've had in February that was annoying was refurbishments, but it's never so many that it makes me have a bad time.

Late April and early May can be a good time. The weather is nicer, most refurbs are wrapped up, and the crowds aren't too bad as Spring Break has ended but summer hasn't started. Also, we've been in early December and mid-week isn't bad, but if you're looking at weekends there are probably a lot of locals there on the weekend to see the Christmas theming before they get blocked.

Yea I think I'm leaning towards late April 2016 Sunday to Wed
