If you Could Only Go on Thanksgiving, Christmas or Spring Break

I have gone twice for Thanksgiving and 6 times over Christmas. While I prefer the weather and the lower crowds over Thanksgiving, my preference is for Christmas. It depends on when you go over Thanksgiving, but if you're coming back the Sunday after, you will only have 2 nights to experience Holidays Around the World in Epcot and I think the Christmas special at the end of Illuminations is great. I like going over Christmas more because I can enjoy Epcot more, which is where the most events pertaining to the Holidays are taking place to me. We usually go to the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve. This is just my opinion.

Spring Break.
Not everyone has their break at the same time. Crowds can be staggered
Everyone has Christmas/Thanksgiving off. Way more crowded.

If spring break is not the week before or after Easter I would go spring break out of your choices. If it is the week before or after Easter I would go at Thanksgiving. Just brace yourself for crowds and relax. I think when the parks are busy you just have to take a different attitude to make it fun. If you go expecting to do it all you can end up disappointed.

I went one year near Easter and the line to get on the bus at the end of the day was 2 hours long. I will never go again at that time. I went one year at Thanksgiving and while very busy, it was still enjoyable and not insane. :)

Definitely Thanksgiving. We go every Nov (first week) and every Easter week (Good Fri and the week after) I love the flowers and finally feeling sunshine and warmth after winter, but I love the pre Christmas feeling in Nov.

I would not go Christmas unless I got a 75% discount. Way too many people and many first timers. No reason to pay max prices for capacity crowds.

Our Spring Break is early, so it isn't crowded like it is around Easter for us. That said, I did Christmas and loved it, despite the crowds. Christmas is just magical all by itself, so when you pair it with Disney, it is extra magical. I would definitely do Christmas again, but for me, it really comes down to which works best with our schedules that particular year.

I would definitely vote thanksgiving. We went this year the Week before thanksgiving and stayed until the Monday of thanksgiving week and honest the crowds were not that bad. They definitely picked up the last day or two, but still nothing that wasn't manageable. I think if there is any chance of going slight early and then staying into thanksgiving week that would be ideal....Like Maybe Thursday to Thursday. I also agree with PP, caring into the week after Thanksgiving is also great b/c of all the stuff at Epcot. I did miss that this year going the week before.

You know, its a funny thing about the crowds. We have been many times at Thanksgiving (not in a few years) and twice at Spring Break with school groups-----one time in April and just a couple of weeks ago in March.

During Thanksgiving the walkways seem very crowded as do the restaurants. But not the attractions. We always do rope drop and use fp but even when we hop and don't have either it wasn't that bad. The wait times just seem better.

March wasnt bad at all. Just hot. The only truly crowded place was AK.

April, it wasn't nearly as enjoyable. The wait times were crazy but the parks didn't feel as crowded. The walkways and restaurants weren't crowded at all (except during a downpour right at lunch time).

Maybe its different for others but thats the way it seems for us.

Spring break for the glorious weather, as long as it's not Easter week which is almost as crowded as Christmas.
