Just dreaming about moving away and starting a new life all over again. ;). sometimes i wish my DS and I could just pack up and go away! I know it sounds crazy, just dreaming!:cloud9: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I would have to go with the Tuscan province of Siena. I biked the are in 2008 and fell in love with everything about the area. I wouldn't mind having a little summer cabin in the Gmunden district of Upper Austria either.

It sounds dull, but I'd live exactly where I am. It's a long story, but my family all lives in the same small town and my niece and nephew literally live around the corner. I love that I can walk over and see them almost any time (if it just hadn't been so cold and rainy lately).

If I'm really dreaming, I'd live 6 mos here and 6 mos in Scotland--the summery 6 mos 'cause I don't think I could handle a Scottish winter!

I'd want to split my time between where I am and the Florida Keys (or other tropicalish place), The U.K. (Probably Wales), and San Juan Island (in Puget Sound, Washington State). OR, just live on a ship that travels around the world!

I would LOVE to move to the midwest. I hear it's pretty cheap over there...everythingwise...compared to Hawaii anyway. I'm sure there are more jobs there too. I just can't fathom moving somewhere where I don't know at least 1 person though. Everyone I know lives here.

Florida Keys in the winter and Maine(probably near Ogunquit) in the summer.

Funny..... my Dh just asked me this question a week or so ago. He is about 10 years away from retirement and was thinking we should decide where we want to retire to and buy a house there now while proces are down. Thing is.... I really don't know where I'd want to go.

Currently, I'm thinking like DisneyDoll. Florida in the winter and maybe New Hampshire in the summer.

I really would want to stay right where I am. I guess second runner up would be some tropical beach somewhere

St. John from November to April and right here on Cape Cod, May to October;) and I'm doing everything I can to make this dream come true :)

Now that sounds pretty good! Maybe add about a month in Paris in there somewhere!!:)

A London flat and a Australian house on the coast. Culture in one place and beautiful weather and amazing SCUBA in the other.

Oh, okay, if I must;) Maybe spend the holidays in Paris? I spent one unfortunate night in Paris in a holding cell and that's all I've ever seen of France, not sure if I'm welcome there or not...it's a long story:lmao:

I totally agree with Tuscany!:thumbsup2 We will be returning for our 5 trip next year.

Costa Rica, near Arenal, probably La Fortuna. There is something magical about being in the mountains and watching the active volcano shoot lava in the air, while surrounded by rainforest! ANd I imagine, property near the active volcano is probably reasonably priced. :rotfl2:

Boring as it sounds, I would love to move back to NY(Syracuse) and buy my family's old home back. We've lived here(WV) for 20+ years, but NY is still my "home."

I'm so boring... I'd want to split my time between FL and MI. We have family here and I really like the town we live in, but I hate the winters. I'd be happy just where I am for about 9 months of the year if I could just leave after Christmas and not come home until it is time to get my seeds started for the spring.

When the day comes that we don't have kids in school, the plan is to spend the winters in/near Lakeland so we can enjoy Disney and Tigers' spring training, and come home around the end of March. DH's work is seasonal and I can work from anywhere with an internet connection, so we don't even have to worry about lost income or wait until retirement.

Austria, I wanna see snow.

I am most happy when I'm warm and surrounded by blue and green things (water and plants!). So if I had to stay in the US, I'd move somewhere in FL. Probably the Panhandle. I love the Seaside area.

If anywhere in the world, probably a Caribbean island. Not sure which one, I've never been to any. But they look so nice!
