If you could do only one signature restaurant...

They are all good but aside from V&A (my very first choice) I'd say California Grill. Good food (especially the flatbreads) and the view just can't be beat for getting in the Disney mood.

Hhhhmmm... so i'm leaning a bit more towards CG (though Jiko does sound good too). If we do CG, is there a bad seat in the house? We'd love to have a nice view, especially if we're able to get a ressie around Wishes.

Well--there are only so many tables right against the windows with a view of the MK. But you can get a "general view" from most spots in the restaurant and at Wishes, just walk out on the deck and see the show.

Unless you can get an ADR at CG for during Wishes, IMHO, Narcoossees is the best in terms of food and atmosphere. You can see Wishes from there and watch the Electrical Light Water Pageant from the dock if you time it right before or after dinner. The service there has always been outstanding for us. It is also much more quiet than CG which tends to be very noisy.

I agree 100%. Last May I did the DxDDP and ate at a different 2 credit Signature restaurant every night. It was great fun, by the way. I ate at Artist Point, Narcoosee, Citricos, Jiko, California Grill, Flying Fish, and Yatchsman. My favorite was definitely Narcoosee. In fact, when we went back in Sept Narcoosee was the only Signature restaurant we went back to.

The almond crusted cheesecake is reason enough to go to Narcoosee. I swear it's the best dessert on property.:cloud9: When I went in May I got the steak and lobster. When I went in Sept I ordered the same thing, but switched scallops for the lobster. I still got a full order of them, along with the steak. They were fabulous. If you time it right, you get to see Wishes, plus see the Electical Water pageant. I love the view at California Grill, but wasn't as impressed with the food. I've eaten at Jikos twice and while OK, still don't get the hype.:confused3 I've also eaten several times at Artist Point and love their buffalo and berry cobbler. I also got a great cobbler at Ciitricos. Yatchsman steak and dessert were just OK, but they have a fabulous seafood salad appetizer. Flying Fish is also very good. I've had their scallops, but preferred the ones at Narcoosee. Also at Flying Fish I was full, so asked to take my cheese plate dessert to go. They charged me to do so.

Teppanki Steakhouse (I love the food there). But California grill (food good, atmosphere better) during fireworks is very nice.

I like Yachtsman. Experience good, food good, service good.
It's just that, well, I've had better steak in local upscale steakhouses and the setting to me doesn't scream Disney in any way.
Would I go back, yes. Would I pick it as my first, one and only, for you, no.

Agree 100%!!!

DH and I absolutely loved Flying Fish! Last year we tried Cali Grill, Artist Point and Narcoossees. They were all great, and we'll look forward to returning to all of them. But if I had to pick only one, I'd give a slight edge to Flying Fish and DH would choose it hands down.

Does Cinderella's Royal Table count? DW has to eat there once each long trip.

We ate at Flying Fish last summer and it was very good. In 3 weeks, we're staying one night at AKL and changed our reservation from Boma to Jiko. Looking forward to trying out another signature restaurant.

Have Cali Grill and Artist Point on our to-dos for next trips.

Good luck

We do mainly signatures when we go to WDW as well. I'd say either Narcoossee's or Jiko. Those are the best IMHO.

FYI, Boma and Cinderella's Royal Table are not signatures.

Here are some of the main signatures off the top of my head...

Narcoossee's
Jiko
Artist Point
California Grill
Citrico's
Victoria & Albert's
Yachtsman Steakhouse

We liked Le Cellier in Epcot. The steaks were perfect and the sea scallops were fabulous!

So now ya'll have me considering Narcooses, which was NEVER at the top of my list!

My question about this restaurant is the freshness of the fish. My sister and I grew up in Alaska and are what you would call true Alaskan fish snobs. We can't stand any "fishy" taste or smell as it is a sign of it not being fresh (at least according to the fishermen back home). Ickiness.

The steak and lobster look good, as does the shrimp appetizer. For those who may be as snobby as I am, would you consider this fresh seafood or is it the smelly stuff?

We've eaten at Narcoossees and Cali Grill.

Our unanimous pick is Narcoossees. We had the best service there. The atmosphere is more peaceful than Cali Grill. You can still get a great view of the fireworks. AND the food was most delish (my filet mignon was literally melt-in-your-mouth good). And the dessert--oh my!!! My DH declared his dessert the best he'd had in all of WDW.
