...which one would it be? We are 3 adults. DD will be 20 this trip and we are on the Deluxe Dining Plan. I have 1 table credit not planned for and I'd like to do a character breakfast. Which one would you suggest?TIA:goodvibes

Might depend on where you will be...

Our favorites are :

Tusker House in AK.. and Cape May .. for Cape May... we made ours late last year.. went through Epcot .. . got fastpasses and then walked over ..It was nice walking off breakfast on the way back :rotfl:

Do you have a park preference for the day you want breakfast? My first choice would be Crystal Palace before the park opens. :cloud9: I love walking down Main Street with hardly anyone around...and there are so many great choices at CP, everyone can find something. Also got to love Ohana, Akerhus, and Donald's breakfast at AK. :lovestruc Depends on where you want to be after breakfast and if you have a character preference. :thumbsup2 Have you tried any of these before?

If I had to choose only one, I would choose Donald's Safari breakfast @ Tusker House in AK!

The atmosphere and service were great. They buffet was delicious with so much variety and food I had not seen at some of the other buffets, and the special juice they serve is so delicious! The characters (Donald, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy) were a lot of fun and one point they take all of the kiddos to parade around the place (no kids here, but really enjoyed watching the interaction between them and the kids... true Disney magic happening all of the way!)

After breakfast we headed right to the safari, entrance very close to the restaurant, and we saw tons of animals out and about. Great start to our day at AK!

Tusker House without a doubt. They have the best food we've ever eaten at a WDW buffet. We had great character interaction (we're (2) adults & (2) 17 yr. olds), but it may have been where we were seated. You never know, unless you've been seated in all areas. Book an 8:05 am ADR to get in the park early, then be ready to hit the rides at opening. We sent the 2 teens to get Expedition Everest FP's, while we paid for the meal. By the time they got back, there still wasn't a line for the Safari. We walked right on. It was great!

My 2 favorites are:

Ohanas Best Friends Breakfast--Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto--(served Family style so you don't have to get up, they bring all you care to eat to you). Food very good, relaxed atmosphere, easy to get to on Monorail.

Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK was excellent--Donald, Daisy and Goofy.

We really like Ohana & Cape May Cafe. Neither require park admission. If you will be in a park, I would suggest Crystal Palace

I keep reading great reviews for Tusker House character bf! I'm thinking about trying to get an ADR. But how realistic is it to go there for bf from BC? I'm guessing this should be on the day we're planning to spend the day at AK? But we were planning on going to AK on an EMH day to get to all the big, busy attractions. What time should I try to get the ADR compared with the time that AK opens that day? Help....

By far our favorite is Crystal Palace. Love getting into the MK early and having Main Street pretty much empty, love the food (the puffed french toast and the made to order omelets), and love the characters. Cape May Cafe would be our second choice.

We always go to the park with EMH each morning. We made our reservation for Tusker House at 9:45. This gave us plenty of time to ride EE and Kil. Safari before breakfast with time to spare!!!! We also make sure we arrive early to be close to the front of the line when the rope drops. When the rope drops my DH and DD 11 go get in line for EE(they usually ride it two/three times!) and I take our DS 5 and go get FP to the safari. By the time we meet up the FP's can be used and we hop right on! We end up leaving that area of the park just as it starts getting really crowded!! Hope this helps!

If you want only one...pick the one with the characters you like. However...most character meals have such disgusting food, and you can easily find the characters all over the park.

We like weekends at swan...character breakfast...chip/dale/pluto...very relaxed, lots of character time...great food.

Ditto for us - we love Crystal Palace breakfast. A close second for us would be Chef Mickey's - very fun atmosphere, good character interaction with the Fab 5 and nice breakfast buffet.

Crystal Palace in MK. The food is very good & I can't say that about most buffets and the service was very friendly too. If you don't want to go to a park, then 1900 at GF. Both had variety and an omelet station. We are 2 adults too.

#1 Tusker House AK.....oh SOOOOO good!!

#2 Ohana's BF Bkfst at Poly....LOVE!!

Hi everyone and thanks so much for your responses. I think at this point that we'll be looking for the food more than characters. DH is a definite foodie and DD, almost 20, loves Donald. I heard the food at Tusker has some of the items they serve at Boma's and we really enjoyed eating there. Is that true because that would be a great way to start our full day at AK. If our arrival day wasn't at MK, I think I would give CP a try but we'll start with lunch there and we're opting with the GF Tea. Plus we are staying at the Contemporary so monorail mornings sound good also. Sorry if I sound confusing but you are making my decision much easier. Thanks again.:goodvibes

I love the food at Akershus for breakfast. Their cold buffet has great items and the hot dish they serve family style has the best potatoes ever. Bonus is a picture package is included in the price here as well.

I loved Crystal Palace...Chef Mickey's is ok, but that seems to be more about the characters than the food, whereas Crystal Palace, the food is great AND the characters are really cute! :)
