If you could choose one state to live in....

South Carolina. Mild winters, warm summers, East coast, beaches close by. Everything I could ask for.

I like where I live now, but after 9/11, I've wanted to move. That won't happen for another 15 years, so I'll make the best of it. :)

The one I'm in: California. :sunny:

I will never move out of this state, I love it here.

Katholyn, I thought for sure you'd say Texas. You surprised me

FLORIDA, FLORIDA, FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I HAD to leave Texas  , I'd go for southern California if I had the money. Otherwise, I think that North Carolina or Virginia would be nicest. They have nice climate, good location, mountains and friendly people. Florida is fun of course but it would be nice to get out of the heat!

FLORIDA !!!! ..just as soon as I can make it happen...!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Beth, of the places you're actually considering I'd choose Oregon. I've always thought the Pacific Northwest was beautiful.

I like it here :).........but the job situation isn't good :( The cost of living is fairly high.
The climate is wonderful........mostly ;)

I think cost of living and prices of homes, etc. depend on what you are used to and where you are from.

So, I'm proud to say, "We're number TWO!!" (But, like Avis, we try harder . . .);)

WE ARE LAST...ROTFLOL! Why does that NOT surprise me in the leat!! Mississippi is AWFUL!!!!! Everything here is AWFUL!!!

ICK ICK ICK ICK!!!!!

Well Minnesota was one on our list and its first.

I actually didn't think of Iowa....how is the snow??? (I know really important thing but still)

I love NC ,but my other choices would be SC,Virginia,Florida.
You would see pretty much snow here in NC,I live in the Smoky Mountains and Love it here.

Florida close to the beach but not so close that I would have to evacuate during a hurricane!

I think where I live is the best place anywhere, ever. About 20 miles south of Disneyland and about 3 miles from the beach. Yes, it is very expensive, but I think it is all relative. I am sure in another state DH and I would make less $$ doing the same job as here. Planogirl, we think alike. My second choice would be North Carolina. We love the Charlotte area, I have family in Durham, the beach is there and close to WDW! And they sure do know the meaning of "southern charm" there, I have to admit us Californians could learn from them.

I am currently in Washington State and it is wonderful. If I had to move it would probably be either to Arizona or one of the Carolinas.

I live in Virginia and would never rank it that highly.

I honestly love living here in metro Atlanta, but if I HAD to move, I would choose the Washington, DC area. I realize that crime is high and it costs a fortune to live there, but I have always liked it there very much. Plus, crime in Atlanta is bad too, and the cost of living here is pretty high as well.

Colorado, Idaho or Missouri. CO and ID because I absolutely loved living in both states (4 years each) and MO because DHs family is there. My family is in TX, but that is too far south for me!!

Beauty...living in LA, I am glad to know there is ONE state below us!! LOL :p Your assessment of Mississippi would fit Louisiana too!!
