I also looked at the most dangerous states and decided to bypass that one!

I personally would love to know how Virginia is a healthier state than Colorado. The humidity is worse here, allergies are worse here, my asthma acts up way more here, and we're part of the kidney stone belt. I was never healthier than when I lived in Colorado. I agree with Utah being above Virginia (in case you can't tell the only thing that keeps me in Virginia is my kids and Roger.)

this is a hard one: my theater junkie side picks NY,the action side picks Califorina and the bad girl picked Nevada

SO THATS WHY I DON'T FEEL GOOD!!!!!!!

Have I mentioned I HATE MISSISSIPPI???????

I'd choose the state of Euphoria, as opposed to my usual state of Confusion.

I could go to Minnesota, in a heart beat.
My ideal place to live would be in the mountains of Tennessee.
I've visited there twice and I just love that place.

If I could only win that darn lottery :)

I was thinking the state of Denial sounds lovely year round....I would love to do a house swap with you Dr Tomorrow. Half the year in Euphoria and the other half in Denial would be so nice, wouldn't it?.......

IM me and we can work out the details if you're interested. LOL

For REAL, I'd pick anywhere warmer than Minnesota. MINUS 60 in the winter and in the summer, mosquitoes bigger than small dogs motivate me to get the heck out of here!

Disnee Dad Says........................................ Just gotta throw in my 2 cents worth.

Lived near Seattle for about 17 years, have relatives in Northern Oregon for two generations.
I refuse to accept sterotypes about the NW. It rains all the time. West of the Olympics yes, but further west to the Pacific Coast, no. The clouds roll in, miss the shoreline, hit the mountains and rain! The stronger systems go over the mountains and hit the Seattle/Tacoma area.
Look at east washington, not much rain, but more snow than west washington! Go figure.

If you are talking some fog and some rain, move to Bellingham Wa. Beautiful area, not far from Seattle. Clean, crime free, no, last year someone did steal Mrs. Smith's wheelbarrow.

For warmer temps you will need to head south. I lived in Tacoma, 30 miles south of Seattle, and we got snow maybe 2 to 5 times a year, so we weren't freezing, but we got some "white"

Portland is a great area, beautiful, but taxes can kill you.

Tax facts.

Oregon has a very high income tax, and it's property tax is also high. But it has no sales tax.

Washington has a decent property tax, a pretty high sales tax, but NO income tax!!!

Twenty years ago, when I was 23 I noticed that. My plan if DW will let me is to retire in the very southwest of Washington, like Vancouver.

No income tax! Fair property tax. South enough to get great summers, and a few dustings of snow in winter.

Thirty minutes to Portland and all it has to offer. Two hours to Seattle and all it has to offer. So we won't miss any "culture" we want to see. And So Cal is just a $100 round trip to visit DL, or S.F., love them, wouldn't live there.

Of course I made all this stuff up, there can't be a place this sweet, can there?
